Again, wires or any other method they use would require a fundamental change. They could do it like this, kinda like how the new faceplates are done. But to have that done on an entire joint is extemely tricky and will cause a pretty high amount of issues. And again, if it fails or any issues with the parts they would no longer be able to simply replace the limb. As you can not expect your customer base to be able to check which side of the circuit, or if any part, has failed. Meaning both sides would need to be replaced. Which, as I said before, would completly elimanate the modular function of the figures. No more remove and replace of a damaged arm, or hand or torso when something fails. There are multiple ways you could design it so that it works and has one switch and one power pack. But as I explained, once you do that you change the way customer service works for these figures. And the fact sideshow can send an arm or leg or new torso and anyone can fix it is a huge selling point and saves money. That would be done. that doesn even factor in the increased cost to produce and change the designs.
