first pre - order from SideShow and first Hot Toys figure. love the Captain America helmet, for some reason it just adds the badass-ness of the figure.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Saw that this was sold out on BBTS, so I ended up pre-ordering this guy yesterday just in case he sells out on SSC too. :yess:

The same thing happened with the Robocop release shortly after it was announced--but then BBTS opened up orders on it again well before release. I imagine the same thing will happen here. My guess is that they have some initial limit that they hit, and the list it as "Sold Out" until they have a realistic idea of how many they'll get. This far out, it's probably just guesswork.

Still, makes me nervous. While I'm definitely gonna buy this guy, I don't really want to pull the trigger on a pre-order for something so expensive this far in advance, because who knows what could happen in the next year before it's release. That said, the Mark XLV is still readily available, so hopefully there's no harm in waiting.

with BBTS not requiring any payment upfront, and the ease in which you can cancel it.. if someone is on the fence about it.. why not throw in a preorder.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

After seeing the art box for the BV Cap, I'm so much more excited to see the packaging for this figure. If we get an art box that pays homage to CW #7, oh man, it would just make this figure come around full circle. Awesome armor from the movie with an awesome art box similar to the comics.

Please make this happen HT!

Found these. Think there's a bit of editing as the colour seems brighter? But it looks good! Can't wait for this!

Contrast looks like it was raised

Saturation looks raised too.

Can't wait to see what the final production version is like. The 45 already looks to be fantastic, imagine what this figure will be like with an extra year of HT development!

Can't wait to get this to display next to the Mark 42. The contrast between the gold and red suits will look great. Maybe the Mark 46 will be the last Iron man I buy.......I hope!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

The helmet looks great on this, especially the eyes. The 1/6 figures of the main suits since the 7 have all had eyes that were pretty "big". I feel like even the 45 looks that way. The 1/4 43 is perfection in my eyes.

This one looks right so far and even the black bars in the eye area are visible.

Even the 43 looks a little bug-eyed once you get used to the 1/4 scale.

The 43 is the same as the 42 in the faceplate (and most everywhere else), so how is one bug-eyed but not the other?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Fixed my post. Don't know how I missed that but I thought someone would catch that I probably meant the 1/4 haha.

It's weird that the IM suits end up that way but for the most part the War Machine related figures have the eyes figured out. Really though, you can't beat the look on the 1/4 43. The shape, size and having the white behind the lens really make it a knockout just like what appears to be happening with this 46.

Actually, Sneaky pulls off the look too I think.

i pre-ordered this version together with captain america CW version, and cancelled shotgun and mark 45.sometimes you have to cut your losses ;-)

Cancelled the 45? But, but it's in your avy lol. Just messing with ya.

The thought crossed my mind but the 45 turned out awesome. Plus I think I would end up in an endless cycle of canceling the one coming out for the next Mark coming out in a year. I imagine the the Mk47 will look awesome if that's in Homecoming. Then Infinity War armors. If I kept holding off I might not have one until 2020 lol.

well, its also a question of finance..and since the 46 is getting lots of screen time, the 45 didnt get as much.i like the suit very much, but sometimes you have to consider what makes more sense with these steep prices

Absolutely man. I see so many collections on here and think "man, there's no way I could keep up." As much as I want an Avengers line-up, I can't imagine dropping close to 2k just for the original 6. Then you throw in WM, SW, Vision, and Ant-man and you're over 3k really quickly.

Personally, I'm just keeping my collection to IM and WM for now. Though I will say Cap is the only other Avenger that I'd want simply because I like his character. Otherwise the others would be just for the team building aspect.

Hope I didn't offend you.

Think they'd give us a replaceable chest plate
that replicates the battle damage from Cap's shield
?
