This is a nice one, I had one in checkout at popcultcha but passed. I think Gladiator Thor better represents Ragnarok and I already own what I think is the best Thor we've got so far(AoU). Maybe down the road if they drop in price I may consider picking one up.

Anyone try sculpting on a thicker beard? Saw that rooted one a few pages back and...oof.

So I just got this yesterday, I don’t seem to see people bend the arms at all. Is this because rubber arms are still easily damagable? I haven’t had rubber arms before and have always been wary of it. But I don’t think I’ve heard any thing bad about recent figures, just a few years older ones, so maybe the quality has changed, idk.

I’m not sure if I should also get a infinity war Thor, for the chain mail arms and sweet hair cut and groot axe. Are this Thors Arms easily removable, with maybe a option to put chain mail ones in?

I'm wary of splitting - tho don't have a need for what I think is an "extreme' pose. If the arms are gonna split just because I've got him holding something at a mild angle...well, went into it thinking I might have to do a body replacement down the road.

So far no problems anyway. Also, an extreme arm bend to me looks a bit off, the way the rubber folds.

I dunno about switching the arms out on Roadworn Thor. Managed to source a spare red cape and some AOU studs, so I can have the look he had - briefly - when Hela shows up. E.g. he had the "classic" Thor cape. I'll have to mod the studs, unless I can pick up Gladiator Thor studs down the road. That's about as much as I'm gonna mod my fig - I like this Thor a lot pretty much as is.

Anyone here do a body swap on this Thor? If so what was the best way to get the armor off? Any special tricks?

I have the armor off the gladiator version. I imagine it’s the same. I’ll take some pictures and add them in a few minutes. So you can see where it’s glued.

Edit: the lower armor has an L shaped glue joint at the back:

The whole left side of the chest armor is a glue joint:

Also it appears the skirt armor is glued at the front to the chest piece:

Thanks a ton!!! Those do help greatly. I bought one of these Thors pretty damn cheap because on of the cape plugs broke while on the figure so a piece is still in the armor. I’m hoping I will be able to get the piece out no problem if I can pop it out somehow from the inside, but if not and I have to remove the armor to pop it out I’m going to do a body swap at the same time. If I have to remove it what type of glue do you suggest to glue it back?

I really wish HT would have waited until they made the new sculpt with the proper beard thickness before releasing this. It would have made it a perfect 10/10 for me if the beard wasn't so thin. Even so, this is going to look great displayed with the IW version.

It probably won't happen now unless I commission it myself, but I was hoping someone would use the gladiator sculpt and customize it with longer hair to use for this. I don't often buy custom sculpts, but I'd pay good money for that and to make this figure screen accurate.

My helluva deal Roadworn Thor arrived today. This is a great piece. One of my favorites in my collection. I’d like to replace the hood as it has some snags and the bandolier around his chest is missing a tiny gold button. There is also a slight black streak on his neck, seems like it’s from his hair of possibly from the chain carrying surturs crown. I need to figure out how to clean it off. For $225 shipped I’m not complaining one bit.

It's arguably the best look, pre infinity war. Also thor is extremely popular
