because it's always basically the same look but with the eye patch, short hair, new weapon and different outfit i'll proably go for the IW version.

Yea, that's what I'm hoping for, a detachable shin guard.

Not really a fan of this look to be honest. If I'd get a Thor at all from this movie it would be the road warrior one. But I still think the light armor Thor from Dark World is the definitive Thor figure.

It's a very specific look Thor, to be sure... I don't own a Hulk, but as costume packed as the Gladiator one is, I'm not sure I'd want it as my sole representation, if I was only to have one.. I def wouldn't go this Thor if it was to be my only one. Makes me wonder what other 'single scene' figures they've done over the years, or could do...

I said it in the other thread, but for me an "expansion pack" to Roadworn Thor is all you really need to cover his basic overall representation from this film,

- Another head with short hair
- the two swords and holster thing on his back
- the shoulder armor thingy
- the other cape with the circular fasteners and more then/clipped on his belt.

I'm disappointed that he only wear the costume for maybe 10 mins only in the movie. But I think it is my fav look for thor. Do wish it comes with a clean headsculpt though.
May get another thor, just became my fav marvel hero. HaH

I'm actually on the other side in thinking this is the more definitive version of Thor for this film in lieu of the RW one. To me you can't really go wrong with either all said and done, but I think this one has more attributes to it that the RW one doesn't have, that he had for a larger portion of the film.

The biggest thing to me that makes this scene specific is just the red face paint.

For me it's the best representation of the best Thor movie/performance. If this had a lightning headsculpt it would be perfect. I've started moving away from most iconic look and going for best representation from my favorite of characters roles. On Hulk I do tend to agree but Gladiator will be an awesome piece especially next Thor. I only have the KO hulk right now so...

I really want to order this, but for some reason I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on it... I almost did the other day until I realized I can only use one coupon "per batch"... I'm hoping this won't sell out before we see IW Thor so I can make a sound decision. I already have Roadworn Thor and it's one of my favorites... I hate saying it because it's so cool, but gladiator thor almost seems unnecessary as someone who isn't a huge fan of the character. And the only truly desirable feature being the helmet, and his outfit being so similar in Infinity War.

I'm probably going to get it anyway, but not being able to use the other coupons I have really bummed me out... PM me if you want them. I have 2. first come, first served.

I mostly just collect Star Wars figures but after seeing this movie, I had to preorder this guy. Guardians of the Galaxy was my favorite Marvel movie, but not anymore!

After watching the movie, this is definitely not a definitive Thor. If anything, its one of those one-off variants.

The Road Warrior version holds more weight/value than this one with regards to the movie.

I'm getting both this and RW, but the Gladiator look definitely has far more screen time than the RW. Rw was on screen about the first 1/4 of the flick, and this was the outfit for 3/4 of the movie. I think Surtur's Crown is a cool and important accessory, but having a much less screen time than the Gladiator ver. and not being promoted in any of the marketing, I can't call the RW look the definitive version for this movie.

They are both represent pretty specific acts of the film. You'd drive yourself nuts trying to analyse every little difference in every little phase of a movie. When I used to follow the Terminator threads, the screen accuracy was always a big discussion point.. even with two head sculpts and battle damage options you limit yourself to pretty small snapshots of the film.

I meant the complete gladiator outfit, the one with the helmet and the red paint. It was only for a short time isnt it? He wears it after but without the red paint and the helmet. Makes me wonder if HT will do one without the red paint and a clean headsculpt (or an eyepatch).
