It's a game dude. This is exactly what both companies are doing, it's obvious. "Terminator Day" was no coincidence. EB reveals their new Joker and BAM, HT's hours later reveals theirs too. You'll see.

It's a known fact that both companies despise each other.

Then that would explain so much then. As if Hot Toys has a personal axe to grind with Enterbay. One would be under the impression that the founder and heads of both companies were childhood enemies.

Yeah, it's childish and pathetic

It may be but you can't really argue that in the end it's good for the customer. It's caused both companies to up their game & resulted in better products for us to choose from the near future.

Does that mean they'll also show a TDKR DX Batman? I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing Enterbay's Batman and Joker very close together, if not simultaneously.

How I think it's going to go down:
-DX 2.0 Joker in June
-Enterbay Batman and Joker in July
-Either TDKR DX Batman or TDKR 1/4 Batman unveiled same day or very soon after; TDKR DX Batman unveiled with a Backstage Teaser of TDKR 1/4 Batman on the same day or very soon after.

Not far from the truth dude. On one hand it's typical business practice and on the other it IS a childish technique. Hell one day one party may even come out public and say "They started it first" :lol

Yes and no. Yes that it's given us an absolutely stellar product and no in the sense that we're stuck on the same old licenses. Every now and then one of them will throw us a heartfelt license.

This won't be far from actual imo. Remember "Terminator Day"? They didn't even compete (prototypes) the same month, they did it back and forth THE SAME DAY :lol

As a T1/T2 fan I was in heaven :lol

Curious as to why you think the DKR Batman will be a DX?

Because the last 2 Batman figs were DX :dunno

It's how Batman and Joker roll :lol

The Last Batman Begins 10th Anniversary Exclusive wasnt a DX.

Im thinkinh we'll be getting a regular MMS release with this one as well.

Way too many Batman (and Villains) showing up in the DX line.

DX01
DX02
DX08
DX09
DX01 2.0

Thats HALF the frickn line up as it is right now.

And since HT announced Batman Returns will have DX release(s) as well theres another

Batman

And probably

Penguin
Catwoman

And people think The Dark Knight Rises is getting the DX treatment as well? :lol

I doubt it.

I do agree with Void that there's a pattern in that there has yet to have been a time when a DX Joker came out that it wasn't accompanied by a DX Batman (i.e DX01 & DX02; DX08 & DX09). I don't think they'd break the trend here, and because of TDKR's imminent release, I think they'd forgo a DX 2.0 Batman in favor of a TDKR DX(the fact that the suit remains mostly the same means that they can get away with this).

I could see them doing a DX02 2.0 and also lable it as TDKR Batman package as well since like you said basically the same suit.

But since we havent heard anything about a Dx02 2.0, Im going to assume that the first Batman out of the Dark Knight Rises licenses will be a regulat MMS release. As will Bane and Catwoman.

Until I hear an official announcement saying otherwise Im not getting my hopes up.

I really hope they announce the Forever licence this year too. Plus I love Marvel but I'm really looking forward to the TDKR rollout.

I just think that it's hard not to imagine HT releasing a DX Batman with a DX Joker when it's happened twice before.

Ya, with Joker they could probably release an awesome sculpt, but they'll definitely make the tailoring much better. I'm also hoping they add in an extra body/sculpt with the bank robber outfit.

For Batman, they can fix giraffe neck and rubber leakage while adding in TDKR accessories.

Precisely. When it comes to the Batman license, Hot Toys has already dominated the game. Attempting to cover another market because another company decided to go another
route seems pretty juvenile. I'm all for healthy competition, but not at the expense of being annoyingly redundant. I'm actually relieved that Enterbay isn't doing a 1/4 Ironman.

Hell one day one party may even come out public and say "They started it first" :lol

:lol

Understandable but if you look at the two times before it was from two separate franchises (TDK/1989) and none of them had been a DX release so it was warranted. This time, not so much.

Im kinda curious though what their plans are with the DKR and the Batman Returns licenses if it means we indeed do get another DX release from each film...I dunno. Just with the DX releases averaging 3-4 releases a Year, having a lot of Batman versions in a row would really clog down that line for quite awhile.

Shouldnt be long to find out though!

Batman Returns figures will be DX.

About TDKR, not so sure about Bane since the teaser didn't say DX, but I can't see Hot Toys releasing a MMS Dark Knight figure... doesn't seem right. This is one of their most popular licenses they have so I don't think they'll want to disappoint all collectors with a MMS figure instead of a DX figure.

After all, The Dark Knight is an iconic character.

Indeed he is. And the Batman Returns Batman will more likely be a DX. Hot Toys has displayed the DX logo with the Returns license. They havent done that with the Dark Knight Rises that Im aware of.

And the Batman Begins "First Night Out" 10th Anniversary figure wasnt a DX.
