I guess Im not getting your logic
Look at it this way, Would you expect HT to release another Jack Sparrow from POTC 5 as a DX even if he attire was exactly the same as it was in Stranger Tides? Or a another Indiana Jones but this time The Last Crusade?
Why would you expect HT to DX another version of Batman that has essentially been done already?
If they are going to re-DX Nolan Bats then they might as well make it a 2.0
I really feel that if they were going to DX Nolan Bats, they would have hinted at it or announced that the Dark Knight Rises was getting the DX treatment. So far I have not seen anything official stating they are so Im assuming they aint.
At least not at this time.
I agree. If this ever sees the light of day, my opinion is that it shouldn't take up a DX 'slot'. It should simply be 'DX01 2.0', rather than DX12, 13 or whatever. To serve up a rehash and badge it with its own place in the DX line-up would be pretty lame.
Why would HT release a DX of a character from an older movie when the same character has the same look in a new movie that people are hyped for?
I'm almost positive those are both the recast version...
Looking at my DX01, the irises don't look like that. These have a very unnatural color to them.
We will not get another TDK batman. The next dx batman will be TDKR.
Hot Toys has officially said that each and every one of the figures being released will be DX? Weird I mustv missed that...Just because it has the DX logo on the Returns announcement doesnt mean every one will be DX. Look at the original CR Superman announcement before you go off acting like you know everything.
Thats why I said most likely will be...HT can change whatever the hell they want whenever the hell they want.
I don't think it will be a dx,the rerealeased bb batman wasn't.also by making it a mms figure it allows them the oppertunity to release a dx version later down, the road.
I'm only speculating, no need to get rude. To be honest, you are the one acting like you know TDKR Batman won't be a DX. If my post sounded offensive, then I'm sorry that was not my intention.
Why I think the Batman Returns figures will be DX figures is because they are iconic and I see them continue the Batman trend of releasing a DX Batman with his enemies as DX figures, like they did with Batman and Joker from Batman (1989).
I have no idea why they made Superman a MMS instead of a DX, maybe it didn't look good or they were on a tight schedule. But if something is announced as a DX then thats what you should expect not the opposite, of course Hot Toys can change whatever they want. It can happen, but does it happen often?
Thank you for simplifying what Im trying to say.
Another superhero blockbuster, The Dark Knight Rises, will be hitting the theatre in Summer next year!
Besides the 1/6th scale collectible figures, we will be bringing to fans with the vehicles series too!
Apart from the 1/6th scale collection, we are again stepping our foot into the specially developed 1/4th scale collectible figures!
Fans, stay tuned and get ready for our surprise!
But he still says there will probably be a DX down the road
Yeah, that could be the case. MMS release first, Battle Damaged DX version later

Yeah down the road in a few years maybe. Not now.
-HT never said MMS on their teaser. To be honest, I don't believe there was any text on the teaser pic. Nope, and in the license announcement, they refer to them as the 1/6th scale collectible figures:
-HT has also stated before that they try to keep Star Wars DX releases scheduled for one year, so, sure, there might be two more DX's (over the next two years).
-I don't get why you'd be shocked by a third DX Batman; there've been two DX Jokers and another on the way, why is the same not possible for Batman?
Time will tell, I suppose, but I'd bet my horse on there being a TDKR DX Batman.
That's the thing, though. These are LICENSE announcements, they don't need to stamp logos on them to get people excited. I just find it hard to believe this wouldn't be a DX, but, as I said, time will tell, but it's clear that you aren't changing my mind, and I'm not changing yours, so let's just agree to disagree, shall we?
