I guess Im not getting your logic :lol

Look at it this way, Would you expect HT to release another Jack Sparrow from POTC 5 as a DX even if he attire was exactly the same as it was in Stranger Tides? Or a another Indiana Jones but this time The Last Crusade?

Why would you expect HT to DX another version of Batman that has essentially been done already?

If they are going to re-DX Nolan Bats then they might as well make it a 2.0

I really feel that if they were going to DX Nolan Bats, they would have hinted at it or announced that the Dark Knight Rises was getting the DX treatment. So far I have not seen anything official stating they are so Im assuming they aint.

At least not at this time.

Why would HT release a DX of a character from an older movie when the same character has the same look in a new movie that people are hyped for?

I agree. If this ever sees the light of day, my opinion is that it shouldn't take up a DX 'slot'. It should simply be 'DX01 2.0', rather than DX12, 13 or whatever. To serve up a rehash and badge it with its own place in the DX line-up would be pretty lame.

Yeah. I agree with your agreement. But looking at how they are marking the Iron Man Mark I 2.0 as an official MMS release, so DX Joker 2.0 will likely be an official DX number too.

Oh well. :dunno

Wha? I just think that all of the signs point toward a DX. Look at it this way:
-HT has a DX Joker coming
-All other HT Joker's have been accompanied by a DX Batman
-They need a DX Batman to keep the trend going
-Why release an updated TDK DX figure with stuff that you've done before instead of a TDKR DX with new accessories?

I think that what I've been struggling to find words for is that it wouldn't make sense for HT to release a DX 2.0 Batman. The bottom line is that it's highly likely that we'll see a DX TDKR Batman. They'll most likely want to keep the trend running with a DX Batman and Joker. I don't think they'd release two nigh identical Batman figures within months of each other, and I don't think they'd carry a license (TDKR) without the top billed character from THAT film (i.e. why release a TDK version when TDKR is out)?

I'm almost positive those are both the recast version...

Looking at my DX01, the irises don't look like that. These have a very unnatural color to them.

Yeah, I already corrected myself in a later post after Fiend pointed it out :lol

Both recasts

We will not get another TDK batman. The next dx batman will be TDKR.

Yeah, fully expect this to be the case.

Teaser pic just released:

Hot Toys has officially said that each and every one of the figures being released will be DX? Weird I mustv missed that...Just because it has the DX logo on the Returns announcement doesnt mean every one will be DX. Look at the original CR Superman announcement before you go off acting like you know everything.

Thats why I said most likely will be...HT can change whatever the hell they want whenever the hell they want.

I'm only speculating, no need to get rude. To be honest, you are the one acting like you know TDKR Batman won't be a DX. If my post sounded offensive, then I'm sorry that was not my intention.

Why I think the Batman Returns figures will be DX figures is because they are iconic and I see them continue the Batman trend of releasing a DX Batman with his enemies as DX figures, like they did with Batman and Joker from Batman (1989).

I have no idea why they made Superman a MMS instead of a DX, maybe it didn't look good or they were on a tight schedule. But if something is announced as a DX then thats what you should expect not the opposite, of course Hot Toys can change whatever they want. It can happen, but does it happen often?

These are the reasons why I dont believe TDKR Batman will be a DX.

-HT has not released an image or an announcement saying any of the TDKR figures will be DX. Just 1/6 MMS and 1/4 scale figure have been officially announced.

-HT already has DX Anakin Skywalker, DX Han Solo, and I believe Marty from BTTF will be a DX (although I dont believe that has been officially announced).

-Then theres the announcement of Batman Returns with the DX logo-Lets say if each Batman Returns characters are getting the DX treatment then we already have a total of 3 characters from license getting DX.

-So that is a total of 6 characters all more likely to getting the DX treatment over anything TDKR.

Like Ive said until I see an official announcement of promo image showing the DX logo on TDKR license from HT Im not getting my hopes up. I think a lot of you are going to be dissapointed when it turns out to be a normal MMS release.

Ill be shocked if HT feels the need to DX Batman for a 4th time.

I don't think it will be a dx,the rerealeased bb batman wasn't.also by making it a mms figure it allows them the oppertunity to release a dx version later down, the road.

Ok, sorry, The way you worded it sounded very matter or fact. Ultimately nobody knows what the hell HT plans on doing. And even then HT can change their mind. So until we see full official specs and pics all this is speculation.

-HT never said MMS on their teaser. To be honest, I don't believe there was any text on the teaser pic. Nope, and in the license announcement, they refer to them as the 1/6th scale collectible figures:

Another superhero blockbuster, The Dark Knight Rises, will be hitting the theatre in Summer next year!

Besides the 1/6th scale collectible figures, we will be bringing to fans with the vehicles series too!

Apart from the 1/6th scale collection, we are again stepping our foot into the specially developed 1/4th scale collectible figures!

Fans, stay tuned and get ready for our surprise!

-HT has also stated before that they try to keep Star Wars DX releases scheduled for one year, so, sure, there might be two more DX's (over the next two years).

-I don't get why you'd be shocked by a third DX Batman; there've been two DX Jokers and another on the way, why is the same not possible for Batman?

Time will tell, I suppose, but I'd bet my horse on there being a TDKR DX Batman.

But he still says there will probably be a DX down the road :lol

Yeah, that could be the case. MMS release first, Battle Damaged DX version later

Yeah down the road in a few years maybe. Not now.....

I guess Im not getting your logic :lol

I guess I look at it that if there was a DX planned for the license then they would have made a notion to state that in their announcement.

Its not that Id be shocked to see a 4th Batman DX in the line, but that Id be shocked to see another DX Batman in the line so soon.

Since we are probably getting two Keaton Batman DXs its probably safe to say we are getting two Bale Batman DXs as well.

Im just leaning more towards the possibility that its not going to be a DX.

I havent seen anything from HT disprooving this.

Thats like thinking that HT is going to make the next Iron Man a DX when they havent said any such thing about it. :dunno

That's the thing, though. These are LICENSE announcements, they don't need to stamp logos on them to get people excited. I just find it hard to believe this wouldn't be a DX, but, as I said, time will tell, but it's clear that you aren't changing my mind, and I'm not changing yours, so let's just agree to disagree, shall we?

Usually when HT announces a licenses they do stamp "MMS" or "DX" on their promo image to create hype....

uhhh....

Alright agree to disagree.
