I actually like the broad shoulders, they look great for athletic figures. The narrow shoulders will be good for figs with average bodies and will look great for a body swap on Jack Sparrow and Will Turner.

:lol

Truetype's shoulders are too wide.

The Prometheus shoulders are too narrow.

Is this going to be just right?

Sounds a lot like Goldie Locks and the Three Bears! :lol

Can't wait, with water treatment on Jack's shirt, and this new body it's really going to look like a different figure.

Right! I think this will do wonders for the pirates. I just hope the shirts don't end up too long.

The shoulders on the TT are only problematic for some figures. Its seems that on most figures the broad shoulders work just fine.

Yup, it does really matter what figure it's used for. Costuming and sculpt play a big factor. Joker looks just fine to me on the standard TT, shoulders have a fine shape because of the layers and all, his wider head because of the hair helps.

Good example of when the TT fails, Captain Jack Sparrow and Rambo M65. The standard TT makes Sparrow look like a body builder, and Rambo just looks too wide and his shoulders look so flat he almost seems inhuman shaped.

I love the broad shoulders for the PT Jedi. It makes the Jedi tunic sit so much cooler.

Yup, costumes where a strong shoulder definition make them look best really benefit from the TT's design.

To me, all 3 are right, it's a matter of choosing the right one for each character. As pix said, standard TT is good for Star Wars Jedi figures, the shape of the Pro is perfect for Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, and this new narrow TT would likely be the best option for Indiana Jones.

I understand the need for body standardization, but I think there could easily enough be a design that allows for 3-4 bodies available to each figure make that allows them options for making figures look right. I'm not a fan of the body itself, but I've always spoken highly of the Buck at Sideshow for the range of heights and all. As great as Hot Toys figure quality is on each individual piece, some of their lines really suffer from the single body option, Pirates of the Caribbean being one of the worst I've seen.

mine shipped from toys2 as well with a scheduled release of tomorrow. The reason it says august release date is because that was when they were supposed to be released but production moved along alot quicker. Also the stock they got in probably went out to everyone that preordered first and the next batch may come in later.

Got my shipping notice yesterday. Really suprised me though, I forgot that I ordered one. I never thought this would come out early. If anything, I thought it would get delayed by all of the new items Hot Toys has coming out.

thespawnx from the spawn board got one already:
