But it is so easy to assume the worst when it is online and people don't include explanations for their responses.

I'm not talking about Classic in the movie.

I'm talking about this new Predator figure. It resembles the original Predator far more than Hot Toy's "Predator 1" does.

What's kind of funny here is those thinking they are getting a HT P1 aren't really getting it with this new piece. I have many of the suit pics from Predators and HT did a really great job of getting the detail to look like that suit. Most of it looks close to the original P1 but it's not the same. Most of the suit wasn't sculpted as good as the original Winston suit. I can see HT nailed the hands, feet, back pack and armor detail but they went for the new design from Predators. They were smart enough though to go for a Kevin Peter Hall body instead of the Derek look. Over all they did a great job being accurate to the movie Predators but used the Kevin look for the body which was the right move. If HT wants to do an accurate P1 they have to redo a lot of this figures armor detail and change the feet and hands. I really wish HT could and would have done the Alien and classic Predator stuff like these Predators figures.
The fact the body is sculpted to look like Kevin really reminds fans this figure is P1 when in fact it's classic from the new movie. I rather have a new all out P1 in this style but for now this figure looks very nice and I'll get it anyway. Hopefully HT will make some changes even though there small and put out P1 again with this new improved style. I know the old HT P1 is fun with all the articulation but at that time that figure was made HT just kind of half ass-ed the likeness. They now do things better and hopefully they'll revisit Alien and Predator like they did with Batman.

This looks awesome, but I still love my Predator 1 Predators. They both have a place in my collection.

I do think that $225 for the Shadow Predator. One can hope that the justification for the price is due to the exclusivity and that the regular releases like Classic will stay around the same price as Falconer and Berserker.

Scale-wise to the Berserker the old P1 would be better off being the classic from Predators. If it can be converted then it'll be pretty cool.

I'm just kinda thinking they made this new body with a view to ultimately making a new dedicated P1 and P2 - even as exclusives if they feel the need to limit them.

This though I hope they're not con exclusives.

That base, the accessories he'll have, the t-rexish skull, stick with skin, etc..

I'm guessing same price as Shadow, if Shadow is this "exclusive" or whatever.. Kinda confused on that now since he hasn't even been released yet.
