My big fear with this big wave of figures is those of us awaiting arrival from secondary vendors like BBTS are going to see everything arrive at once instead of spread out a bit like most folks will see them. Ah well, first world problems, eh?

I don't have that issue as I have nothing on preorder. HOT TOYS releases have been nice but nothing feels like a "Main Event" anymore.

Yup I've both both colors before, and the pale is super pale, almost albino. The tan version would be much closer to the HT paint color.

Just a warning though that you can only really bend the arms about 90 degrees max on these. Any further and you risk damaging the rubber.

Good to know. I don't plan on crazy poses with the alternate costume anyway, a muted pose will do fine for that look. I'll use the included body for the Endor version most likely.

So I?m paying $400+ for a teddy bear and a glorified Barbie and another $200+ for an extra Barbie for a different outfit, that I will smuggle into the house in a few months. Borat high five!

Yep basically.

But on the plus side it was nice that Hot Toys also gave us a Mimban Trooper weathered helmet That's what I'll be doing with my ST helmet.

Death Star Trooper is a bit more work though !!

You pretty much just described my life in this hobby for the past 20 years. The best days are the days I get to the front door and grab my packages and shuttle them off to the basement before the wife sees them. Once they're in the basement the collection is sufficient enough to disguise new additions!

Good to remember that Hot Toys has a whole display of Sideshow figures set up at Secret Base, so it?s not exactly like they try to pretend they don?t exist.

As for this set, I was initially underwhelmed but Jenkin Wong did a Facebook unboxing and both looked way, way better than the pics. Think I will still pick it up. Elbow joints don?t bother me in the slightest, and the whiter Wicket fur sections may be too bright/clean but it did look better in the video, plus his headdress covers most of the belly section anyway. I do think it is a little annoying that the Endor Leia and Endor Luke stands do not match.

I will say the Leia sculpt looks somehow even more dead-eyed on this figure than the previous releases. They are really getting a lot of mileage out of it, so I kinda expect to see a Boushh or Ewok Village Leia at some point next as an excuse to use it yet again. I could see the latter as a TF exclusive or something.

Wicket especially does look way better in that video unboxing. I find the base switch annoying as well, the Luke textured base is so much nicer. As for the sculpt I can't really blame HT for going with the very neutral "dead stare" expression because everytime they deviate from it everyone complains. Personally I do like expression sculpts when it makes sense, like Doc Brown for example.

I find it curious that the Jawa only comes with 3 extra plastic hands and Wicket the Ewok comes with 4 extra furry ones.

Despite the Wicket being a way more complex figure it seems they have priced the Jawa the same or even a bit higher.

I?d think it?s because they expect Wicket to sell much better than the Jawa. They?re probably right.

I'm super happy with how this turned out. Leia looks exactly as I expected (face is pretty much the same as Bespin version). Wicket looks great, but he definitely will need some futzing. Maybe there's a way to get the fur to look less fluffy and clean without damaging the figure.

Because of the circumstances I agree but I think if they would have done a two pack of Jawas and priced them at $250usd or less I feel the HT Jawas would have sold pretty decently too. As it is you could have got two Sideshow Jawas for $220(even less on ebay for a good while) or be forced into two HT Jawa sets for a whopping $540 before tax and shipping just to get a pair. Given the price and issues with the Jawa set it's just simply a botched release whereas a Leia/Wicket two pack is a pairing lots of folks really want.

She wants a new bathroom which is going to cost $3000. I flat out said no way. Then I remembered I just received 2 krennic figures, a bunch of vintage items, ordered a second ht r2, and I am about to get done dirty with a $300 Jawa and plastic box. I will let her get the bathroom just in case she ever finds about my smuggling career.
Btw, my 13 year old has become a great accomplice. He gets home first from school and knows to hide dad?s toys in the basement before mom sees anything.

The accomplice is a nice addition to the crime! I do occasionally get the "wait, I don't remember seeing THAT before..." question. The Hulkbuster was my most recent acquisition and pretty tough to blend...
