i dont understand why hot toys puts out some crap figures and throw off or put aside the ones we want, but they put out crap figures like the mandarin he was a crap figure to make and where the ****** is the new jack sparrow C K,or prometheus and many others

All right Banner finally got revealed which IIRC was the last figure from that one WIP table HT showed a while back other than Shaw. Bring her on.

At this point they've already screwed this line's chances of success. I'll be amazed if they bother at all. She will almost certainly be the only figure they put out if she happens at all. All too typical waste of a license by HT. Not that I was personally going to be buying Prometheus figures.

But considering how HT act lately... I dunno what to expect from them at all.

It didn't even have a chance of success when the movie was fresh in everyone's minds.

Honestly, the unreleased licenses that Hot Toys announced but haven't shown aren't that great. Collectors would live I think if these never saw the light of day ala Rorschach, Elias, Lerner, Smooth Criminal etc.

I would have definitely gone for a Shaw figure if it were rendered well.

But I agree....I think this figure is not happening.

Kinda ironic when one considers the shelves full of Pirate Penelope figures Sideshow's sending people free at this point...and probably soon to be joined by the Depp Ranger ones.

It all comes down to a gamble more often than not...I'm sure HT figured anything remotely associated with Depp would get gobbled up by collectors (like the current cash cow IM) but anything else would be a risk....too bad really, because even in a limited run, figures like Shaw, Rorschach, Lerner eta al would find an enthusiastic home with collectors instead of being box-fillers like Pirate Cruz Girl....oh well.

As usual, getting some sort of yard stick from a forum like this one when measuring any fan base, is misguided. There's no doubt there's a decent percentage of folks that would've jumped at the chance to get high end figures from Prometheus.

Again - as usual, an Asian company, trying to capitalize on American / global pop culture.. gets it wrong just as much as they get it right with their decision making process. They green light stupid things, & let things with potential just wither away.

That said - we'll probably see an announcement soon, now.

I would love this, Smooth Criminal and Rorschach. The latter I would probably put ahead of everything save Batman Returns.

Rorschach, Elias, Lerner, and Smooth Criminal weren't shown on this table. Shaw was and has been teased twice since. She is coming.

I never said they were. I just wouldn't be surprised if she went the way they did (and Green Lantern) in the end.


Don't forget, there's also Ichabod Crane. He was a lot further along than Shaw, we even saw glimpses of the specs/pics and there's still nothing. It isn't beyond them cancelling a figure that's far along the production stages.

Fair enough, in regards to earlier teasers - but..

Green Lantern, seriously? You're gonna throw that in there? That whole enterprise was a stinking turd from the get go.

Prometheus - as well as having it's own fan base, has the 'ALIEN' fan base to draw from too, with the Giger inspired stuff - & Noomi, Fass etc being great ambassadors.

They've made a Loki - bid deal about the first one missing the cut.

Too bad about Rorschach though..

Prometheus is just as "bad" as Green Lantern in my opinion.


What they should do is just stop beating around the bush, cancel Prometheus (if they haven't already) and make ALIEN and ALIENS for the Alien/Aliens crowd.

Ripley, Ash, Bishop, Marines and Aliens or Shaw, Magneto, boring crew members and a big, half naked baby? Tough choice.

I'm a big Prometheus fan. Many others are too.

We just want our figures.
