Wow some great poses here. I just got it and I'm scared to touch it lol. Overall I'm really impressed. Happy I decided to get this figure. I'll spend some time posing it this weekend. This thread has some gems.

Love the background behind the Vader's! Btw, what kind of display cabinet do you have and can we see more pics of it?

How does he compare with the IS? Quality and proportion wise?

Great pics everyone. Had to get a few replacement parts and they should be delivered today(unfortunately won?t be home until tomorrow to play with him), and then it?s on to building a display case for him. I hope anyone on the fence has put their order in. This is going to be a figure many people will long for and kick themselves in the arse if they miss the boat.

Thanks guys. The IS is a 40 pound polystone statue, so when I first took the Hot Toys out of the box it didn't quite have the same impact as when I got the IS.

However after getting it set up the Hot Toys straight up looks like a man in a suit even with my very basic pose. It has a very impressive and realistic presence. I feel they both portray Vader in different ways and honestly don't see any glaring accuracy issues on either. The base is another area where I can't compare because it's not even fair. The Hot Toys base is just there, it serves it's purpose. The IS base is in essence a diorama.

Proportions are very similar on both, the IS saber is longer and much brighter. I use a battery eliminator in it so it's nice just pushing a button and having it shine without worrying about batteries. But I didn't buy the HT figure for the saber and don't really care about that.

I honestly love this figure.

To my eye you can't go wrong with either but it's a very apples to oranges comparison despite being the same character.

Here's a few pics, setup is going to get a redo soon.

I was going back and forth, they both just look really good. To me anyway. I'll post some pics of them side by side tonight as I have a couple spare IS helmets.

There's no hem at the bottom of the cape on mine. Like the 2 layers aren't sewn together at the bottom. Is that right?
