[jkno] It is not a cheap figure, as an EU customer I paid that much as well. But decided I have to get it, even though I have my doubts about the pleather quality and even if I already have the very impressive Iron Studios Vader statue. I'm even making another cabinet in the near future to move the 1/3 Stormtrooper custom statue there, and have HT 1/4 Vader in its place.

I hear you with the pleather quality, I was worried about that too.
Assuming the worst care scenario and we have pleather issues w any hot toys Vader?s - wouldn?t a secondary company make new suits/belts? Or even custom commissions?

That?s at least what I told myself to justify this purchase lol.

That's the route I'll be going as well if the pleather fails. Someone might then consider making a full leather undersuit for 1/4 Vader

Matrix69, this comes to you:

Does anyone know how long can I postopone a payment plan? One month, two months, three months? I may postpone ongoing ones to receive this first.

As far as i know it's one month.
Ok, so in your earlier pics, that's the piece of mouse pad that's stuffed down his back? Is that the only place you stuffed the foam and roughly how big of a piece did you use?
Yes all the padding was cut from the Mouse mat...you only need a small piece for the back...

The easiest way is to hold the mat up against the figure and measure how much you'll need...it doesn't have to be exact just roughly enough

Yes, it's one month at a time. But what I mean is can we postpone it again or is it a one time option?

For your mod, you opened the back. But there is backstrap of the chest piece. Is there velcro there?

Ok, sounds easy enough. Is there anymore snags that I may run into while taking off his cloak, head, and armor?

I think you can postpone multiple times but you should contact them to make sure..And yes the backstrap has velcro...

Just be careful and take your time removing everything...especially the helmet and tusks.

Everything else is held together with velcro so it's easy enough...

Most likely people ordering from other retailers (who can only carry the non-exclusive version) to dodge the sales tax... like me :D

It's been mentioned already that the pole dosen't fit tightly into the standard base...putting a piece of tape around the end helps but another option is is to use the back piece base fitting and a shorter pole(5 to 6 inch)
You don't want to cut up the stock pole...but similar perspex poles can be picked up cheaply in 12inch lengths...

This works great and is more secure...

Love this figure! I'm not really one for action poses and think Vader looks his best just standing there being intimidating.

Regular ended before special? I would expect the opposite.

Same thought I had. No clue - if you?re spending over 500 bucks on a figure, what?s another 15.

Anyway, I haven?t been so excited to have something delivered. This piece is going to be stupid expensive on the secondary market.

I suspect Sideshow had low stock of the regular to begin with. They are the only place selling the exclusive so likely sent a vast majority of the regulars out to other distributors and shops. Perhaps the wait list is using their stock to restock some of those other third parties since they have a pile of exclusives still in stock they can sell at a higher price.
