we'll never get a perfect endoskeleton due to those cheapness... i mean imperfection lovers.

I'm pretty sure your issue is not with paint applications, but the actual mold itself, and the details of it.

These paint apps look to be easily removable, the chrome is still there beneath - from the looks of things.

yeah, this is 100% deliberate Andrew, but mine has no way near as much distressed/bronzed coverage as yours. The legs on mine gradually fade into the less chromed coverage, mine looks like OMG's, maybe even a bit less. But I think certain lighting seems to make it more apparent.
Everything above the knees on mine is silver/chrome with very slight ageing in places, it's barely visible..

I guess it's a hand done process and they will vary (seeing a lot of this from HT lately).

The rust/bronze is just paint for the most part. However that "line scratch" on your chest plate isn't on mine. Seems like you got a very heavily weathered one.
:dunno

While looking at mine just now and comparing, I noticed something on the base. Between the black plastic bottom and the sculpted skull landscape on top, there is a translucent blue plastic line/gap.
Looks very much like this base was originally designed to light up. Only reason I can see for them to do that, but they must have taken the feature out for financial reasons?

This is a really good example of why I wouldn't be waiting for a perfect EB Endo. As I said before, they make amazing headsculpts but they are not great with the technical stuff, the HT arm makes the EB one look like a plastic toy IMO.

Great comparison pics mate. :clap

Making the Endo parts matte just makes it look cheap. I definitely got to hand it to HT on this one, out of scale or not this one seems like the superior version already given the facts.

Personally, I like seeing weathering on this fig. HT seems to make their figures too clean so seeing an endoskeleton that looks like it actually has been through a fire is cool to me. If they do a new one in 1/6, I hope to see some weathering on it too.

A-dev, can that residue across the chest plate be cleaned off?

I wouldn't change the weathering. I think it makes it look very realistic and gives it a lot of scale.

I gotcha. No big deal then, I had no intention of backing out of this ever since it was first shown. I just hope that the chroming and weathering is consistent on mine as a whole.

Does SS have a date yet? It's got to be anytime within the next 2 weeks I would guess.

Oh them pics are really great A-Dev!!!

The end arm comparison is rather interesting too.

Ok then, how can i get the version with the 2 guns?
Or am I too late now?

Would any of the stores in Asia carry the exclusive?
I have a friend on tour all over that area including Shanghi, Bejing and Tokyo!

Doesn't SS have the wait list open? I mean you could wait to hit Evilbay but I'm sure it will be 100$+ retail.

But you never know, maybe the Plasma rifles will be parted out on secondary market.

Also, it's interesting how the endo seems to fit the EB T-800 size when you compare the individual parts and lay the endo over the T-800, but it looks too much like a runt when standing next the EB figs.

Yeah but they I will incur hefty import fees which would end up being about $100. But I can give them a go. Just gotta watch the cash as it's rather expensive.

I decided against the Batpod purely on the basis that it will not fit into my cabinet.

The endoarms comparison is very odd.

They have made us wait in the past, but "processing" usually means they have them and are ready to charge and ship them out. I really hope so anyway.

I see. I'm still a noob with ordering from SS, this was the first thing I have ever ordered from them.

If they shipped today, would we get them in the same week or would it depend on where we live?

EDIT: Mine is processing too :clap EX here I come!!

I read all the posts since mine and thanks for everyone's input.

Yeah that residue came off, well its a bit smudgy there now but I'm sure I can clean it.

On the subject of the weathering, yeah, as Rory said there'll probably be a lot of variety and mine just happens to have more than others. I think the lower legs are a bit of an odd choice if indeed it was deliberate but I'll live with it along with everything else. Besides which, from the beginning with the proto shots I was worried this thing was too clean and perfect looking - well now I know it most decidedly is not.

True. However I'm now in no doubt that they are the same 1:4 scale as eachother. Maybe there needed to be an extra vertebrae in the midsection or each vertebrae needed to be slightly longer or maybe the neck ought to have been longer. Yet, taken by itself this endo looks no different proportionally than any other endo thats ever been made. I've never seen any stock endoskeleton from any company which relatively speaking had a longer midsection or a longer neck than this HT endo has. HT would have been compromising on the generally accepted proportions of past endoskeleton figures/PFs etc to give the height a boost. And that may be why they didn't.

Now perhaps they should have.
