Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

I need to check out the leg holster, I never tried it. There's really no QC issues to look out for as far as I know. I really hope this isn't the end of the line. Boddicker would be nice, but Robocop 2 is more likely.

For mine, it feels like the BD version has a smoother thigh hoister than the regular version...

That's good to know, the diecast version felt like a pain in the ass.

Have both this and Whiplash Mark II coming tomorrow. Pretty cool feeling to be done with RoboCop but gotta figure out if I should hang-on to ED or just let it go and be content with a clean and BD Robo as representations of the franchise.

I totally hear ya on the bit-chomping whilst waiting for this masterpiece to arrive. I just got mine, and somehow 'pleased' just doesn't quite cut it. Indeed, it's among Hot Toys finest work to date, in my opinion.

Here's my look at the recent Hot Toys Battle Damaged Robocop and Alex Murphy two figure set! Bloody awesome headsculpts, paint application, and accessories! Doesnt get much better than this! Hope you can check it out :)

Sweet review, bro! Thanks for sharing!

Agreed! Been waiting years with fingers crossed for Hot Toys to give us this version of Murphy:

I can honestly say that Ray Ling, Yulli, JC Hong & co. have done a SUPERB job with this figure.

Tremendous heft, absolutely insane paint apps, and very sturdy (and clever) articulation in the joints.

Detents on the knees, spring-loaded joints on the toes (!), shoulders and thighs extendable, plus torso swivel and abdominal crunch. :thud:

This bad boy has THE WORKS!

Truly a piece of art . . . the love and craftsmanship that went into its production are truly impressive.

I'll spare you the tired sports metaphors & just say THANK YOU Hot Toys for doing such a stellar job on Robo-Murph. :clap

Yes, this fig is super-expensive and yes--a damaged helmet head would've been nice--but the overall effect nullifies any minor nitpicks in my humble opinion.

This is what sixth scale collections exist for. :pow

It's a shame that John Matrix came out with 1/5 the quality of this.

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Just stopped home for lunch and Robocop is in the house, I'll open him tonight when I have some free time, so happy to finally have this in my collection:)

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Picked up my 2 pack, greatest figs I own now.

Cost me a huge chunk of change, but I feel a great deal of satisfaction, wont ever sells these. Again the only issue I have is the hands, I just need fists and a sculpted gun holding hand, Oh well maybe next time.

now to try and work out a boddicker bash

You and me both, brother! The wait is finally over. And I too agree; the price tag is a hefty one. In fact it made my wallet punch me in the face! But there was absolutely no way I was not gonna have this set!
My thoughts being, "Imagine trying to score a deal on these guys in a year from now. No dice! Better do it now."

Inspired by BoShrek...did a head swap. Would also try iteration of clean body Robo + Murphy head later. The only problem is the color of the clean parts on the battle damaged helmet is still too shiny. good from far only.

i cannot understand why the hell EVERY part of robocop is for sale today except for that damn BLACK NECK COLLAR!!!
tried to find if for months already, will have to make one from a medicine bottle wrapped in black insulating tape.
