Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set
what about the auction rules?...
"hi guys, i'm starting my auction, but if i don't like the winning price, auction is cancelled".
I normally add a "This item is for sale in a few other places, so i reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells elsewhere" line in my auctions.
I had a duff buyer a few weeks back, in relation to this very thread. I decided to sell my 1000Toys Synthetic Human figure to finance the purchase of Alex/BD Robo and the Robo in chair figures. Within an hour of the auction going up, a guy put a bid in. No-one else bid for it, and a week later, he won.
But never paid. I sent him two invoices, and on the third day after the auction he messaged me to say he had an unexpected repair to pay for on his car, could i give him a week to pay. I asked when he would be willing to pay and got no reply. A couple of days after that, i said i could cancel the auction, and he could pay the same price when he had the cash. He agreed, but i am still waiting for him to get in touch.
Two weeks later, i relisted the item, and a guy contacted me right away, willing to pay a fair amount more than the original buyer won it for in return for me changing the BIN price.
The upshot is that i got such a great price for that one figure, i only had to add £112 to the paypalled cash to finance buying both the sets i mentioned above. Murphy/BD Robo and Robo in chair arrived today, BNIB from a HK seller that was willing to do a private deal with a great discount.
So i will have a nice progression of Robocop figures shortly.
And about the auction in question above, i totally agree when it's a part-out seller who sells loads. I as assuming it was a private seller like any of us here. If it's a business, you have to stick by your sales price on an auction.
