Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Set looks absolutely fantastic. Might just get both after all. I'm in that mindset of "wow, we might not ever get this stuff again, might as well buy it all!"

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

^^^ Thats what i thought and i think having officer murphy is a great extra and worth the money. Honestly i told myself i wouldnt buy into HT and their ploy of making a second figure with the PW head and double dipping robocop. I guess i was only fooling myself :lol. I didnt give into that chair bs though :lecture

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Set looks amazing! Just ordered mine but thinking I might sell the Alex murphy figure.

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Ric asked someone to post all his pics up from FB so here you go, I know someone has already posted one but didn't see the full lot. I knew taking a gamble and buying so many of the clean and BD would pay off.....Thank the lord it does lol

can't wait to have this, glad this came out so good and apparently with no problems. Though there is 1 thing that bothers me about murphy: his sleeves have velcro, why is that? i watched the film and he has normal cuffs in the film.

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Glad I held off chromocop for this set. Looks fantastic. I don't think I'd pose him like the above pic anyway with clean body and bd head because its just too shiny and doesn't look right.

This set came out so good. I decided to order the regular but for those of you who are getting the two pack. Big congrats. Alex Murphy looks amazing! Very pumped for this one and glad I held off and didn't buy the Diecast version. I also used the Avenge code on it so got the price knocked down a bit. :)

What's the Avenge code?

Do you think it could pass without charge?

****ing bank holiday monday for me naturally. Although, I think a monday delivery would have been overly optimistic anyway. I'm thinking Wednesday.

Just saw your question.

On the regular Robocop the neck can be popped off. Neck and head. I imagine it's the same on BD. it was quite easy to pop off on the regular.

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

True enough, it can, just tried it. The collar part is removable. The same must be the case with the full BD figure making the full head-swap possible. Bravo to Hot Toys for enabling this.

No problem, and thank you. I made it myself.

When I built up a second MMS 202, I experienced the head and neck joint first hand because I bought them separately. Everything is pretty much designed with a simple ball joint. The arms can pop off at the shoulders, the legs can pop off at the hips. It really is a nice design overall. The only thing Hot Toys botched in the end was the paint scheme on the armor and not giving us sculpted gun holding/trigger hands. Had they done that, these would have literally been perfect.

The engineering of the figure is absolute genius. The articulation is so above and beyond what we thought possible without compromising the sculpt.

People have commented in the past that his shoulders sit too low, that they should peak above the level of the ''rings'' and in most people's pics they sit below - well, you can raise them to where they should be. The joints allow it, and doing so doesn't make the arms stick out weirdly or anything like that. I was overjoyed when I discovered this.

As you say, MMS202 would have been literal perfection if the paint had been right and there had been a sculpted gun-holding hand.

Being a pessimist, I reckon it will get nabbed by customs. I'm not all that bothered by the charges it will incur, usually its a nominal amount but the length of time it will take to get to me if customs decide to be A*holes.

If it skips through customs it will probably get delivered Monday, If they hold it back, then I got to wait for that stupid custom charges letter from PForce, which takes 2 or 3 days to get delivered (yeah in the 21st centaury) Then I probably wont get the fig till Wednesday or Thursday.
