Man those scratches on his shield look real cheesy. Everything else is great!

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Just got home and opened mine up just a few minutes ago:yess: I gotta say this is not a figure to pass up on, he is the best captain america there is out there in 1:6 period, I have the first one and this sculpt on this rescue version blows it away. I have no need to pick up the avengers version after getting this, This to me is how captain should look. I have'nt set up all the gear yet, I will after dinner later tonight when me and capt get some alone time:naughty

I haven't been able to get to mine yet, but hearing another satisfied customer makes me happy. :yess: Congrats!

The shield is nice but the scratches are a little fake, but watching the movie the only thing that bugs be a little is the underside of the shield is not refective gold like in the movie. Its not a big deal at all cause the figure is great but the one thing I hate is that they made the jacket non removable:mad: why would they do that, I guess so you can't tell where they stopped the USO outfit and must buy the USO capt to get that look:( These are all minor nitpicks as the figure has so many other great aspects to many to list but best of all aside from the sculpt is the metal helmet.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Just checking out my captain today and I noticed something odd, I believe the star on his chest is permantly attached. Kinda weird, I guess to keep it in place but strange that they would attach the star on his shirt to his chest like that. I wonder if thats how they will do the USO version. Can anyone else confirm my findings or is it just mine?

I don't think in person the BD looks fake at all, the mud splatters just top it off perfectly. Great shield :)

The figure has been parted out on ebay by a few sellers if anyone is interested...(Not by me..lol).

It looks like on those auctions that the star has plugs that attach to holes
in the body and another set of plugs on the back of the jumpsuit that attaches to the body too. The Jumpsuit is short sleeved.

Yeah I just looked it up on ebay like you said, I get why they did it to make it stay in place but, I don't think it was nessasry though. I really dig the figure and had no plans to remove the outfit so its ok, just don't like that they did it.

This was a head scracher, no reason for this ether:dunno One thing is for sure this is not a figure good for parting out on ebay. Don't get me wrong, I really like the figure and I'm happy with my purchese overall just some odd choices on Hot Toys part.

Look terrible in pics, look fine to naked eye. Kinda like the head sculpt.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Just got the chance to open mine and look at it. Looks really great and the sculpt is better than I thought. I don't think my shield is quite as scratched as some of the pics show.

How is the jacket not removable? Is it stitched at multiple areas? :horror

Its stitched at the bottom of the jacket where the zipper begins. Like I said before I had no plans to remove the uniform but some of the charm of 1:6 collecting is being able to take a figure and change uniforms and customize your figures to whatever you like So I hope this is not a trend that continues.

Why not just snip it? :monkey4

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Well, not a great picture, Red Skull's head is at a bad angle.. but I love these two figures together. I need to put together a factory/bridge diorama for them one day! Sorry about the background, staying in a temporary room at the moment, lol.

If you go back in the thread I believe Robbiethepainter took a picture like that, and someone else did as well. It's pretty awesome looking. I wouldn't mind grabbing a second Rescue Cap (if the price were lower.. lol) to display like that, with a more concept art look.
