9 times out of 10 I stay clear of all HT garbage. But I had to over look that policy of mine with this guy. Couldn't pass him up. From the box detail to his airborne laces... He looks Phenomenal!!! Hope to have mine on Wednesday.

Why not just snip it? :monkey4

I'm not really of the mind to remove the uniform anyway so its no big deal, I'm also kinda ____ with my Hot Toys to so there mostly mint in or out of box. Like I said I like the figure and will leave it as it came but I don't like them putting holes in the chest and back just to make the uniform sit right on the figure as I don't think its nesserary and detracts from the charm of 1:6 collecting that is being able to change the look of your figures.

Another great pic by Robbie! :clap

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Given that he's been up on SSC for a few weeks now, I wish they'd make him RPs eligible. Sure, I can see them getting the most bang for their buck when's he's hot coming off the heels of SDCC. However, that's died down, most SDCC exclusives are drying up and yet this figure remains.

I think I'd be swayed against my original decision to not get one, if I could knock down the price alittle with points.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

I got my Cap today! And of course the first thing to do after getting a $250 figure is to attack it with paint, sandpaper, charcoal powder, and x-acto blades, right?

I weathered and damaged his leather jacket, dirtied up all of his clothing and straps, and added a little dirt to his face. I also scraped over the painted shield scratches to make them more realistic, and added additional scratches and dirt. I figured that Cap uses the edges of his shield sometimes, and on the USO shield, the edges would show a lot of wear.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

I really regret not getting this now. It really does have by far the best of the Steve Rogers 1/6 head sculpts.

Sadly, I just cannot stretch the budget any further...my sig should be explanation enough :gah: I know that IM VII will not reside with me any time soon, and I am just hoping that they leave the HULK full reveal for as long a possible.

I may even have to take a cancellation-fee hit and drop my AVENGERS THOR order.

:(

I feel like I'm in the same boat as you are. I just dropped my pre-orders for the HT Amazing Spiderman, SS Snowtrooper and SS STAP with battle droid.

I'm still debating on keeping the Avengers figures I have on pre-order. Fury, Hawkeye, BW and Loki would compliment the collection of other Marvel figures I have already, but that's a lot of figures on P/O and I really want to finish my Batman collection. May have to take the cancellation fee hit on Loki and maybe even on the DX T-800.

With these prices it's just difficult to get everything you want.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

These figures are getting too expensive. I got the rescue Cap and the avengers cap is a must for me. I might have to let Hawkeye go.

So this morning after posting up above I made the decision to cut more from my PO list. I'm out of the Avengers game! I cancelled Fury, Hawkeye, Loki and Black Widow. And I also cancelled the T-800!

It was tough but I think it was the right call. Would've gotten rid of Iron Monger too, but I only have one payment left.

Going to focus exclusively on the TDKR figures and the DAM navy seals for the near future.

I guess by next year I'll target another line. Maybe Man of Steel if it's really good!

My P/O list went from 14 to 6. Much more manageable.

The rescue version Cap is on it's way though. It'll be one of the last Marvel figures I get!
