Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Wow. Will he be posed in a completely non-dynamic static manner as the rest of your [yawn] pieces?

Magnets . . . how do they work?
:monkey1

_____

How unnecessary.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Getting sticky in here fellas! :horror

And Tommy . . . try posing your figs.

That's half the fun. :peace

Hey thanks Gully LaDouche!:clap.

You were successful at insulting 2 members in one shot! All the while, not adding anything useful to the conversation. :dunno

Just kidding...my Cap is back boxed up since I got no display room at the moment so I'm asking those who might have checked theirs is the helmet metal? Please no wise arse responses this time.

To answer the question: Yes! The helmet is metal!

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

If they were cards, I'd consider getting them. They do look like chase cards you find in regular card packs.

I have no idea what that is, but I collect movies so I just buy steelbooks when they are available because they look and feel much better.

I know some have mentioned it, but is the helmet metal? I have it and it's definitely not plastic and its heavy but I'm not sure its metal.

I thought the blue helmet was made of ceramic and the green one was made of metal.

I like non-dynamic poses as well as dynamic poses, because sometimes it can look like a mess with all figures doing crazy poses. I just re-arranged most of my figures into static poses because it looks clean and nice (just as tommyh84's display). Thinking about removing all accessories too. Wish the display stands were transparent, would look even better.

I don't agree with your opinion that his figures are "yawn pieces". That's a very rude thing to say, if it was a joke then it was a tasteless one.

It's a freakin' toy display, thin skin! :lol
Get over yourself. :monkey2

And no joke . . . if one takes the most posable, dynamic body on the market (HT's TruType) and merely stands it up like it looks in the box then that is boring and yawn-inducing.

The unposed, sitting-on-stands detolf shots number in the thousands on these boards. They're boring and repetitive.

Simple: if one can't take criticism, then don't post on a public forum. :nono

Either pose your figures, or stick to cheap polystone statues.

And grow some skin, kids! :wink1:

That make perfect sense.

Everyone should do what YOU want them to do with the hot toys THEY paid THEIR money for as opposed to you simply NOT BEING A RICHARD HEAD! :slap

Makes perfect sense.:wave

Just waiting for the Golden Age Captain America to complete the top shelf :impatient:

So I'm not the only one that wants Golden Age Cap :yess:

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

I want Golden Age Cap and I pose my figures in boring poses. I can't pose for ****.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

It's a freakin' toy display,
Get over yourself.

good point

In fact you could say it's almost not worth mentioning

You could go even further and say that there was therefore no point in you ever bringing it up and that you too could in fact have 'gotten over it'

Just apologise and move on. Simple. But don't try and make out that it's okay to be rude.

Wow someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed...

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Oh and put me down for a golden age cap also

For starters those who have taken exception to your comments aren't the person who you aimed your original post at - that was me, so if people have taken exception to what you said it's probably because you're coming across like a ****

Secondly if you like dynamic poses with your figures then fair enough, personally though I prefer how I have mine setup. It's just my opinion but I feel certain dynamic poses make these figures look less like high end collectables and more like toys. If you like yours setup that way though then good for you.
