Just watched age of ultron in preperation and my God it does not hold up too well, probably the worst one to watch beforehand. But I'm in the end game now, nap time then film!

On the contrary i think it holds up better than most of the early films including avengers 1. Knowing the payoffs of endgame due to the A LOT of setups in AoU make it that much more satisfying. The dead avengers scene cracked shield and all under invading chitarui, Clints family, Starks vision and journey to stop it. His mind set on preparing for a moment he knows is destined to come. "That up there, thats the endgame. How were you guys planning on beating that?". "Together". Its so so good for those seeds to grow. Even Banner's struggle with the hulk in the film. The mindstone with the vision.. So much that later paysoff in IW and Endgame that make the AoU so good on rewatch as you know where it leads. Nah son, age of Ultron is a fine wine that gets better as the MCU progresses

After watching Endgame last night I'm actually really happy that I did watch it for all those plot points - it didn't really touch much on Banner and Natasha, though which is a little disappointing.
But with Steve lifting Mjolnir up, like you said Tony's vision and obsession with space threats being the end game

But I still stand by it being quite a poor film. The Maximoff twins accents are God awful and their characters are pretty dire. The action is pretty bad, everyone feels weightless and like a video game character with pretty poor CGI, nothing feels real or weighted. The plot of destroying the world by lifting a city in the air is hilarious, the dialogue is pretty cheesy also. War Machine is terrible. Quicksilver was awful, in once scene he can steal a gun and unload every bullet in a clip in less than a second but can't run and move two characters out of the way of some bullets.

Mjolnir and Vision are great, though. It just doesn't hold up well. The plots seeds are great. Also it reminded me of the huge controversy of Natasha being a monster because she can't have children. This was back in the day where Marvel films tended to be reviewed under the same light as everything else.

Film was an emotional rollercoaster throughout! HT-wise, I don’t think the figure lineup from this license will be as dense as last yr’s IW.

I think The Dark World is better than the first Thor. I know it gets a bad rap but it has a lot of things going for it.

The best Thor armor
The attack on Asgard is arguably better than the entirety of the battle of Asgard in Ragnarok
******'s funeral scene
The covergence stuff is confusing but makes for a great third act
The Dark Elves had pretty cool weapons, especially the grenades
Odin and Heimdall have great armor. It's a shame we didn't get those figures.

The downsides are the Earth stuff. In my own head canon, the aether killed Jane.
Speaking of the aether - this is another problem because it doesn't seem like anyone (including the filmmakers) really know what the aether is meant to do. It is not used at all like Thanos uses it.
Malakeith - he's not the worst villain but the combined confusion of the aether and the convergence, mixed with the fact that we still don't really understand the nine realms or where anyone lands on the powerscale really undermines him.

But worst of the MCU? I don't know.

The Incredible Hulk is a shame because of the recasting and the third act is underwhelming but everything prior to that is actually great. Liv tyler is great too.

Thor ranks below TDW for me because it's basically the TDW but without all the things I like about it.

Iron Man 2 was awful in theaters but it has grown on me a lot since we've had more time with the shoehorned characters (Widow and War Machine). It's nice to go back and visit with these characters again.

I actually really dislike Thor: Ragnarok but enough people like it to keep it out of the true bottom of the MCU.

That leaves Age of Ultron: Comic book cheese gone wrong. All the cheese of Avengers is cranked up here in a bigger, bloated story. Ultron ends up not posing much of a threat and the only death is played on an awkwardly humorous note and Thor is wasted.

They have the "together" aspect but ultimately the bad outweighs the good.

Amen to the defense of Dark World over Thor 1. Neither is stellar, but it’s not even close for me. Not that I begrudge anyone who loves Thor 1.

AoU definitely isn’t the strongest MCU film, but to be honest, I kind of enjoy it more than A1. As A1 ages, I personally find it to be a bit overrated. The first and third acts are really the only big moments of action to me. I personally find the second act to be kind of tedious.

The AoU core Avengers as a group is also my favorite Avengers group outfit wise.

Be nice if we could recreate the female character fight from the end.

Whole audience was cheering during it.

Sort of took me out the film - it was like oh, there's another... there's another... how convenient. Although it was badass. Just very silly.

Meh. There's a lot of convenient things that happen in the film. In most Marvel movies in general, come to think of it. Audience still loved it.

Incredible flick with so many HT 'wants' in 1/6. I'm not going to list them all just now (even in spoiler tags as some people just can't help themselves and once spoiled there's no going back)...but I will say that you can definitely put me down for the white suits if they get released. All of them!

What a film though. What. A. Film.

It was certainly a great film, and overall I’m more than satisfied.

I’ve read a few reviews and quite a few mentioned fan service etc, but honestly I loved every single one of them....maybe because I’m a fan, and it was great to see so many characters that I thought I would never see again, like Thor’s mother of which I appreciated her part in the film. I was totally surprised by the amount of guest characters there were.
