The webbing material is really thick that they are using, so its raised high off the surface of the body. Its not as noticeable on the legs and torso but it because more apparent on the head and hands. In this shot you can see how much thinner the line work is on the real suit. I think the scale of the lines is much too big is all. Im not saying it even can even be done correctly at this scale, but just a small thing that bothers me about it.

Yes I agree completely however only a minor nit pick if I am being honest

I don't think it detracts from the figure one bit

Yes I have always shared the same views as you point out here

This is why I would rather have the all in one suit rather than the ugly neck seam I forsee coming :monkey4

Always about beauty first!

The all in one suit is by far my preference. It would look the best but I expect a seam around the neck. Which hopefully can be hidden enough to look good.

Guys, it's a 1/6 TOY, depsite the quality of HT's figures, they're just that, figures, there will always be some detail or aspect that isn't perfectly right, something out of scale or whatever, it's impossible for a figure to be 100% 1/6 authentic to the source, there's never been one and will never be one. I understand being bothered by stuff, but there is a point where things can't be achieved and you have to understand and embrace this. If this were a 1:1 piece, failing to replicate those details would be an issue, but at 1/6 the original size, it's just not possible to be perfect in all the details.

Like I said its a small thing. Im not even sure it can be done on this scale. Thats a small line.

Yeah that is what I thought, that would be uber hard to get it that thin and get the depth the same at this scale

I am sure if anybody can HT can :)

I completely accept this and accept that getting certain details correct and exact in 1:6 is damn impossible, this has never bothered me aslong as it looks bad ass!

But what does bother me is that neck seam, I am sick of writing it myself now so you guys must be sick of me mentioning it also but I just forsee futzing issues with it, I just dont see it looking like an all in one suit like it does in the movies :gah:

The webbing on the suit in what we've seen looks fine to me. So it appears HT did a great job there of making it look really nice.

The tricky part about scale is some times when you put things into the correct scale they don't look right because they are not as recognizable as we "think" they should be. For example the webbing lines. In truth if they were in fact scaled correctly they may end up being no more then a painted line. This wouldn't be "detailed" enough for what we have come to expect so the detail must then be over done for us to except it. Happens in theatre all the time. When we build scenery often times we paint wood to look like wood. Because the standard is not theatrical enough for the audience to believe or recognize it for what it is. Things must be heightened. Same with the skin textures on HT figures. If you were to blow up one to human size, that would be one pot marked face.

going to say this now.

Given HOW hot toys does certian things, here are things we can Expect to see.

He will most likely come with 2 or more heads. a masked one, and an unmasked head. expect a seam at the neck where the head and neck meet.

He will likely come with 4 or more sets of hands that will be interchangeable. Expect a seam at the wrists.

He will likely come on some new hybrid body designed specifically for the figure with maximum articulation in mind.

The Spidey- suit will not be designed to be removable.

Think you have played it safe there :lol

I'll beat the horse one more time. Max articulation while looking good. Otherwise just buy the medicom piece.

:lecture

This is a close-up image far larger than the actual figure will be. Judging by the image, the webbing will already be pretty small.

I expect this figure to be pretty cheap in comparison to more accessory heavy figures.

Considering this I wouldn't mind if we got some street clothes to display over the suit. I would really like to pose him ripping open to the costume!

except there are alot of people saying they don't want any of that in this thread.

Its not about what we want its about knowing what we will get :lol

I dont want a seamed neck line but I know it will come with one :(

:lecture :lol:lol:lol

My horse already bolted after taking a damn fine beating

Its all good. :hi5:

Thing is for the most part to make this figure there has to be seams in the figure. The items you listed make sense and what one should expect with the figure.
