I would too, I think HT have him ready too, they were just waiting to be able to go solo on it.
One prequel figure and one ANH figure I'd put my money on.

I have mixed feeling on the prequels, and I would still buy a well executed Anakin from ROTS

I would buy a ROTS Anakin in a heartbeat.
especially with a normal sculpt and then a sith sculpt...even if they did a charred body.too much awesome in a ROTS Anakin to pass up on.
seriously still don't get the what the prequel bashing is about these days.

Lol.i do like them all.

Just reading over the interview from the first page again and I get the feeling that Hot Toys will drop their first Star wars character announcement this or next week.
They only have Drax and Gamora to to put up from Guardians. ...cannot think of anything else they could show yet ...pending approval of course.

I don't have very high hopes for Episode VII, but I do feel it stands a far better chance of capturing the spirit of Star Wars than the Prequels managed, in that it has a head start by bringing back original actors/characters and familiar vehicles.

By spirit I particularly mean the Original Trilogy, and the early expanded universe such as Brian Daley's Han Solo Trilogy, L. Neil Smith's Lando Trilogy, and even Alan Dean Foster's second go at a Star Wars novel: Splinter of the Mind's Eye (the low-budget sequel that never was to be).

There's something very special and nostalgic about that period, and I find it also applies to the Indiana Jones original trilogy. Something of the spirit in both licenses was lost in the intervening years.

Yeah, I agree. I think that everyone involved in this movie wants the same thing. To recapture the magic of the OT.
Mind you Spielberg directed Crystal Skull, but things have changed since then.

This is our last best hope for another great Star Wars movie.

Yeah, you know what - it probably will be an awesome set, much like the Bespin Luke set I imagine

Two figures: one pre / one post Mustafar battle (with bad boy head), all his hand & arm inclusions, accessories & weapons, & possibly a huge environment base like Luke's - i.e; the lava miner droid, or the collapsing platform they fight on.

No interest in buying Anakin, but I'd still like to see how it comes out and what he'll come with.

And I still wish they would do Bespin Han first instead of the rumored ANH Han. He'll go great with their Bespin Luke, and he's the Han is most need of updating!

I really like the Bespin Han look, but my fave is definitely ANH Solo.

I just want to have him set up like that iconic Kenner card back photo of him poised with blaster drawn.

You can argue they don't actually go very well together, as Bespin Han never shared a scene with Bespin Luke in the movie. The original smuggler version is probably more marketable, plus it may be a decision handed down by the licensor. Regardless of which version of which character they choose, there will be a ton of complaints and praise for the a) hair b) face c) insert your own here

Looking forward to ANH Han as well, but there are at least several options available for him. Sideshow's has its flaws for sure (biggest flaws for me were the terrible buck body and high waisted pants), but is doing a nice job representing the look. The Medi one was always an option. And there's that new custom one being done which looks pretty darn good. The sculpt is being tweaked, but the outfit is fantastic.

Bespin Han only has the terrible Sideshow entry. The only other option for him was to get the Medi ROTJ Han, change the body and put the Sideshow jacket on him for a halfway decent Bespin Han.
