1/6 Hot Toys - Star Wars Episode IV - 1/6th scale Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Disguise

Guessing those who buy this Luke will also be buying Sideshow's Luke in X-wing gear and HT's Luke in Tatooine outfit?

And the forthcoming Jedi Luke? And Endor Luke? And Hoth Pilot Luke? And Hoth Sick-Bay Luke? And ESB Farewell Robe Luke?

Pilot Luke, Trooper Luke, Hoth Luke. Might swap X-Wing Luke for Snowspeeder when that comes around

I definitely only wanted 1 hero for each. But it's too damn hard. Stormies disguised can always double as stormies so that's fine. X-Wing Luke is my definitive. I resisted the hoth figures as long as I could.. but eventually I crumbled. ESB is my favesies across the board.

You mean the SSC versions or the coming HT versions? Yeah you have to mod the SSC, actually that's how I found this website in the first place, googling sideshow stormtrooper disguise luke & han helmet mod/fix lol. I found here that people use the rubber end cap for chair legs, you slit the round end in a cross and pop that over the ball of the neck and the helmet slides over that.

Has HT confirmed whether or not their helmets will accommodate a special neck post or something? Wtf. That's like a Millennium Falcon cockpit that only displays from behind lawl.

Honestly I would be more than happy to sacrifice helmet interrior for the ability to reveal.

you were quicker than my edit! Yeah yeah that's silly. I would much prefer the ability to reveal than helmet interior. Hopefully they will accommodate a special neckpost.

Not sure what to do with my Sideshow Luke and Han troopers. Are they even worth selling?

Think they were worth a fair bit before this latest announcement - I don't see too many appearing on eBay. I haven't even opened mine yet!

It would kind of make the short Stormtrooper that's already released redundant if buyers can just use this one as their "stormtrooper". It's probably just the detailing on the inside of the helmet?

Naaah...that's a super easy fix. Black rubber furniture end/stopper thing, or some black tubing of the appropriate size. No problem.

I can't decide either, haha. I figured you could just put Luke's head onto the short stormtrooper body and have him hold the helmet head (like with iron man figures), but I guess it's more profitable for them this way, plus it comes with different things. I wanted just 1 of each character for my ANH collection so I'm still hesitant on getting stormtroopers Luke (and eventually Han).

I just POed this and am waiting for Stormy Han. The single Stormtrooper is still available at SSC but is sold out at BBTS, vice versa with the two pack.
