If Hot Toys does 1:6 Star Wars, they have to start with Jedi Luke, ofcoarse.

Sideshow does a great job, but I'd love to see Hot Toy's take on Star Wars.

it'll never happen but if HT would get the license i'd hope they would put out some unique characters and not just give us more lukes and obi-wans.

He's one of the few. Old Ben, Palpatine, and the alien Jedi. That's about it. All would have better bodies on the TT, though.

It would be a good partnership for them. HT produces droids, CHEWBACCA (we need the wookie!) and others Sideshow views as not cost effective. Sideshow get exclusive rights to distribute them here, much like they do now. I am happy for the most part with SS Star Wars, but feel the line has lost some of the luster it once had. I for one am already burnt out on their armor characters and they have only released one!
I just feel a good shot in the arm would be to sprinkle a few core characters in like Dooku, Lando, Tarkin, Emperor (ROTJ), etc. Even a new version of Anakin (AOTC) would work for me.
On topic, HT would figure out a way to produce Yoda!

Well since Medicom has I don't see the issue. I really like their version too, so to be honest I wondn't care if SS never make one.

It's Yoda from ESB how poseable do you really need him? He is a lot more then Wicket. I'm not a huge SW Medicom fan just happy with their Yoda is all.

Well, I don't want a paperweight, that's for sure. I agree that their Yoda looks nice, but the lack of articulation is what made me pass. I've got a fairly good idea for a custom though.

Hot Toys can make Star Wars figures when Sideshow is done. Otherwise, I have no interest in figures from them unless it's assistance on droids or Chewbacca. Even then, I think Sideshow is talented enough with tooling weapons that droid parts are far from beyond their abilities. If anything, Hot Toys would only be better at keeping the costs down.

Hot Toys is great. For my money, I am happy with SS, as long as their paint apps stays consistent....that is key. I am incredibly happy with their Clone Obi-Wan, and from pics, their Indy fig....if they keep that up, I am happy.
