If you mean this picture, it looks like the Shadowtrooper is a little smaller or the same size as Kenobi, not "considerably taller", how do you see that??? As for his height compared to Vader, the Shadowtrooper looks like the top of his helmet comes up to the bottom of Vaders neck armor. All this talk of lens distortion is BS. The same was said about the SS Vader 2 and it wasn't true, unfortunately the HT fanboys:

I don't own a single 1/6th figure or anything HT so I'm not a HT fanboy.
But seriously how can you not see that he is further back? Vader is the closest, obi second, and shadow 3rd.
Boba is also likely a lot bigger then he looks, he's so far back. How can you not tell o_0

You crazy :p

Oh look in this one the shadow trooper is magically taller then obiwan even though he's behind him! :p And the other regular trooper is as tall even though he's on a shorter stand AND behind him.

angle and depth perception man...

Didn't anyone notice the two men standing there behind Fett and Kenobi? Factoring in the average height of a grown man in Asia this clearly indicates Fett is ½ scale, Vader is ⅓ scale and Kenobi is ¼ scale.

(o_O)

For those who think that lens distortion or perspective can't warp our sense of size, pls consider the following....

Both pics below are of two differently scaled ALIEN figures:
The Roswell 1/5 scale ALIEN statue standing at about 18"
and the other,
A Medicom ALIEN figure at 12" ...

Now with the 12" figure a few inches closer to camera than it's taller counterpart:

Approx 6" -- 1/2 foot - distortion in size

This is the reason forced perspective works so well to create the illusion of depth or size through a camera in films, whether it be a movie set, or in theme park environmental design work...especially if the objects are far enough away from the viewer or it's placement in space concealed by covering up any physical positioning that can connect it to other objects in relation to it....

Thank you, that's the picture I was talking about. Where the Shadowtrooper looks much taller than Richard "Ben Kenobi" Chamberlain despite standing behind him. I think it's safe to say that we won't be able to do accurate height approximations based on these pictures except that Vader towers over everyone else no matter what.

Vader looks great in those pics. Anyone who doesn't understand depth perception at this stage of their life, either has (a) one eye, or (b) needs to institutionalised.

........ than Richard "Ben Kenobi" Chamberlain despite standing behind him.....

He does look like Chamberlain, damn you, you've ruined it now.
:lol

You were going really well till you agreed with the RC babble.

It so doesn't look like that guy. :lol

Standard.....I don't feel the need for this exclusive.

When it comes to figures I often feel the exclusive version is easy to pass up on, I did opt for the exclusive on the R2-D2 figure though, all the little accessories seemed worthy of having. :)

I picked up Han and Chewie exclusive but as you mentioned most are pooooo

I think the clones are the worst exclusive wise, with the different base being all that's different..., hardly worth warranting really (but that's just me). I'm glad there was something a bit different with the Hot Toys figures, a change of base definitely doesn't make me want to jump for joy & buy direct. lol ;)

I am glad to be getting more of the OT figs......I cannot wait to see what else is coming. Empire being my favorite film, I am stoked to see what HT has to offer ( Bounty Hunters , Hoth etc)
