I can vouch for this guy, he's 100% trustworthy for anyone worried about buying from Hong Kong.

The worst thing that's ever happened to me ordering from Hong Kong was a dinged up box I got a partial refund for. I also take a little time to examine feedback/history. The bad ones usually have red flags of one kind or another.

Man, price is no object, huh?

Only this time. ;) I totally indulged like a dissolute profligate.

I may drink a little less Louis XIII out of gold impregnated crystal snifters this week to make up for the shortfall, maybe light cigars with five-dollar bills instead of twenties.*

*That last part is a big fat lie.

They'll look good with your Snowies in your deliberately light and sparse place. A few more figures and it won't be so sparse anymore. :)

LOL...actually...The Sparse Always Wins. I've been forever editing my collection and our space, and saw that in spite of my relative restraint, Star Wars is a property that can quickly dominate one's collection and space.

I have already sold the Snowtroopers. Not because I didn't love them, but because I love wide open space and bare essentials more.

1/6 Star Wars for the foreseeable future will be HT Stormtroopers, SSC Probe Droid, and most likely a single Scout on Speeder Bike. I love the idea of representing the OT with so few.

I'm interested in some iteration of a Hot Toys Vader, and a Snowspeeder Pilot Luke if it ever gets made. An Endor Luke might be a contender, as would HT Sandtroopers...but these last pieces are not must-haves and I wouldn't get all of them.

I'm obsessive about keeping things pared down; have been since high school, I think. It gives me space to think, I don't know how to describe it.

I probably enjoy working on the customs more than I like owning them. Typical artisan mentality, maybe?

I wasn't going to get these early but soon changed my mind after seeing how great they turned out. Hoping to have them Wednesday. Haven't had a SW piece for a while. Really looking forward to them.

dang, these look good. I've 4 sets on order (3 SSC and 1 BBTS) and probably get some singles later on. <3 Stormtroopers

HT fixed the rattling armor as expected...

I know Hot Toys made the early Sideshow stuff...and now they work together, but they used a SS Clone body instead of one of their own???

Anybody with the 2 pack yet to figure out how they made the height differences????

Looks pretty much like a Truetype to me:

If Hot Toys were involved with the SSC body I feel they must have done it as a prank or something. I read somewhere that the thing they (HT) helped Sideshow with was the weapons, but I really have no idea.

Here is a Sideshow clone body in all it's womanliness:

If I understand correctly by posts in the Alien & Robots subforum, there is a peg of variable size inside the torso. So apparently you can change the height of the torso and the length of the legs. A longer torso would look weird without doing something about the arms though, so if I would army build the HT stormies I would alternate the foot pegs. That way you can have four different sizes at least, so a little room for diversity there.

Oh, ok. I remember all that ****. It was nice to watch from the sides for a change. :lol

Ha ha, looking back I'd have preferred not to have been in the middle of it myself, but at the time it was just too much fun to push his buttons and watch him go full on meltdown mode and make a fool of himself

I wouldn't mind a set of the two trooper with riffle and Mouse Droid....but I gotta know first how HT made them 2 different heights.

I just asked the guy with parts for sale on Ebay, he says the "nude bodies" are the exact same...

The bodies are adjustable? Really? So both Troopers are the exact same?

What's the general consensus on these troopers? Are they worth the $$$?

Have you seen the pictures on the last few pages? Its your call.

But Budget Stark has hinted that this will have a low edition size because demand is so low in China for Star Wars. Certainly there will be other stormtroopers -- sand troopers, han and Luke troopers -- so there will be others for you later. But maybe not with green lenses. Or maybe not a short trooper. Or maybe not with a rifle. Certainly not with the mouse droid.

Agreed! I have the SSC Trooper and I am absolutely jumping on this. There is nothing I love more than Troopers! I cannot wait to see what they have in store for Sand Troopers, etc. I really want Han Solo and Luke Troopers as well, which surely will be released at some point.
