I'm fully expecting these to make me want to sell my lone SSC trooper and buy more of the HT version.

No, but the foot pegs can be easily changed on the truetype body. So on a figure with the short peg you can change the peg to a long peg and the figure will be taller and vice versa.

The thing about the torso I read in one of the Terminator threads. And if you look a some of the nude bodies it's quite obviously the same base body with just more of the ab section showing, so whatever is connecting the chest and the abs is a bit longer for a longer torso. Do a search for a General Zod body and a Terminator 2 body and you will see when comparing the pictures that Zod is taller although the base body looks very much the same.

Does anyone know when these went on wait list? I jumped on the EX WL today but wasn't sure if I shoud order the reg just to be safe

No, but the foot pegs can be easily changed on the truetype body. So on a figure with the short peg you can change the peg to a long peg and the figure will be taller and vice versa.

Both the torso and legs are shorter on the smaller one. So it should be possible to change around the foot pegs to have a short trooper with the long pegs, a tall tropper with the short pegs and two troopers with their original pegs and have four troopers that are different in height which was my original idea.

It looks like they are still using regular old HT foot pegs, no?

These look so good (if I ignore the horrible symmetrical helmet) I had to order a short one off ebay. I think he might be a little too short though.

Have you seen the pictures on the last few pages? Its your call.

But Budget Stark has hinted that this will have a low edition size because demand is so low in China for Star Wars. Certainly there will be other stormtroopers -- sand troopers, han and Luke troopers -- so there will be others for you later. But maybe not with green lenses. Or maybe not a short trooper. Or maybe not with a rifle. Certainly not with the mouse droid.

Stormies are one of the few figures whereby I cant tell whether its the real person or a 1/6 figure... even ironman has not reached this standard.
