Welp I just preordered him at BBTS. I had credit that covered the non refundable deposit and it won’t be out until 2022 so I figure may as well do it. By then I know I will regret not having him next to Ahsoka, especially if she is from the earlier seasons. An older Ahsoka would be easier to mix around with figures but the younger one really needs Skyguy.

Still cheaper than sideshow shipping though. And there have been much bigger mark ups on BBTS than $10-15.

Yeah but they have up done MSRP up until about a month ago. I've seen them raise prices as things go out of stock, but not on a preorder 2 years out. Just doesn't make sense to me given that there's many other retailers who sell at MSRP, do free shipping, etc. I know BBTS is super popular and I've used them tons in the past, but I have almost no use for them on these pricey pieces anymore.

Overall, SSC is now the better place to buy from.
BBTS - Anakin with STAP is $404 shipped plus taxes.
SSC - Anakin with STAP is, let's say, $415 shipped plus taxes. Plus we get $19.25 in RPs. Plus we get the Special Edition. Plus we get it quicker.
I am now back to ordering with SSC now over BBTS.

Likely a lot more than $11 to ship that big box to you.
With Sideshow, figure the RPs get eaten up by the shipping. So retail plus tax is your final cost. But yeah, its kind of a wash.
I used to play this game all the time, but for a few bucks its better to get it first and fast.

Am I The only one that would have preferred aotc versions of both? I guess not being able to reuse the sculpts played a big part along with the last season of the show. I will get them both if obi wan actually goes up for preorder. Hopefully he doesn?t get added to prototype limbo. I don?t trust hot toys anymore.

Looks like ToysWonderland has changed their payments to be a max of 3 where it was 6 before so on these big ticket figures around $400 having several other orders at once makes it a little tougher when using flex pay. Looks like I?ll be heading back to sideshow on most orders going forward.

I think CW generated a lot more fan positivity than AOTC. I would still love Jesus Kenobi and Stalker Anakin (especially with the poncho and some dead Tusken parts).

I still get double boxing for a mere $4 at BBTS. Mark up be damnned, even if it comes out to be the same or a hair more at least I know my figure isn't being sent in a POS thin sleeve.

There's other options that would be cheaper, but I'm simply going for SSC with this just for the exclusive parts. I know it's not critical like another headsculpt, but I'm a sucker for any accessory and almost always use them at some point mixing up my displays. Plus it'll add value in the long run no matter what the exclusive is I think.

For those overseas, SSC is really a good option. Shipping is similar to other companies.

Sideshow is a terrible option for international collectors. I'd rather buy from Hong Kong with generally cheaper or similar prices, free shipping and no customs/import fees.

Except, they don't usually because I've bought around half of my collection from Hong Kong now and never paid a customs charge. Reward points are good but they don't come close to outweighing the money saved in shipping and customs fees.
