Love the scene or hate it, that joke will be staple for years to come.
Carrie in TLJ is a tough likeness to nail - her mouth looked quite strange and seemed to lack normal movement (she seemed to have difficulty enunciating certain words.) It might have been the drugs, cosmetic procedures (you do get a sense that many people were employed to get Carrie looking her very best for the ST) or some medical problem like a minor stroke, but her face is a tough thing to capture in a 1/6 sculpt, especially if you're going for that "idealized" thing HT does.
What's interesting and also a little sad is that existing sculpt is how she probably might have looked if it wasn't for her struggles with addiction.

She did seem to look noticeably older and more frail here than she did in TFA for some reason.

They should have done a Hamill car accident/Wampa attack thing - done the Mary Poppins/Flying Nun thing first up, thereby attributing her facial issues and look to the effects of freezing in space and the enormous drain of force-pushing herself.

sorry, i think she looks awesome!!! and its only a prototype that won't be out for over a year. you guys are just too negative about everything.

I don't think it's so much being negative per se, but more just the way people tend to word things that makes it come off extremely pessimistic and negative.
I for one don't think this sculpt is very good, nor did I really care for the film itself too much either, but I also don't just say one liners like "this blows, end of discussion."

This board has become a negative black hole. I've been here since 2005 and I've seen the change.
I'm happy with this as is, though I think there's room for some improvement.
I also loved TLJ, but I'm not surprised by the division in the diehard fanbase.

Well to be fair, our expectations for these figures was probably a lot lower back then too. Now that we've seen just how good they can look, we've suddenly all gotten a whole lot pickier. And grumpier.

I PO'd it over at BBTS- I have hope the portrait will be revisited by HT before release. I don't expect a large edition size for this -and while I would have preferred the "Crait" gown, this should make a lovely book-end display with the ANH version.

I'll be picking this one up too. The Crait gown would have been a really good choice as her standing at the giant door is the best image of her from the film.

Yeah, it's a fantastic 'pretend' older Leia and I think there's merit in wanting such a thing. The Luke one is idealized aswell IMO but maybe not quite to this degree.
