i think the only people capable of doing this the right way are the people of Enterbay!............just look at the ultimate unision Jack Sparrow, looks much better that the HT version, in terms of the likeness..

yep your right, do you think they're doing this to secure more sales on this figure? you know, put us on a desperate mode to take advantage of our wallets?
i dont think is necessary since this guy will sell in a second, my instincts tells me that the sculpt was bad, and Arnie didn't lived up to the hype, and Kojun is in charge, but then again Mr Reeve is a very difficult piece to sculpt many sculptors including BobbyC, had problems getting it done.........imaging doing this at 1/6th

They need to realize it doesn't need to be perfect. They will never get the perfect likeness of anyone. If there looking for perfection then this will never come out.

And you _____ and whine about HT slow pace on this figure. Enterbay would take years :lol

true but at least by now we would had at least a picture of the prototype, they are pro's in the sculpt department, at least what i am asking HT is for at least show us the boots or cape only that,...you know at least let us know that theyre actually doing it!!!!!!!:gah:
Do i have to remind this montage i made?

:lol

What is perfect to some may not be for everyone. Nothing is ever perfect for 100% of the people is what I'm trying to get at.

:lol

Enterbay said they are making Scarface and Leon figures too, a while back and they have shown zero pics of any progress on those figures.

Did you gets some kids to make that montage :lol

To be honest guys they really don't have to show us anything. It sucks to wait on something they announced was coming but they haven't taken any of our money yet.

I'm not gonna get it so that's probably why i'm not as passionate about it, but I am desperately waiting for Captain America pics, but I can wait.

I say be patient and if and when they release it or even just pics, it will be a whole different story.

Your right they don't have the obligation to show us anything but this is a must have and a lot of people have been waiting for this guy to come out in any format so by saying that for winter we were going to have something, everybody expected anything, but by today we have 2 Bruce Lee's, Indy Jones (terrible sculpt), and DX Jack Sparrow and of course those :pfft:POTC Cosbabies. :monkey2
:rotfl

This is subjective. Looking at the Lee figures between the two, I prefer HT's. While EB has a slight edge in likeness, it's still not 100%. But that's all they got. HT's bodies're 100x better, the price is 50% less, HT's Lee isn't painted up like a geisha and we don't have to wait 5 years.

Very true.
Yeah, when I saw that sparrow shown, I was sure this reaction would occurr. If anything Hot Toys needs to really work on their announcements of upcoming figures to stop this let down. Down announce something without a set or semi set date, also have a prototype ready, or just a sneak of it.

and yeah, stupid cosbabies! focus on the good stuff.

yep but i was referring to a HD 1/4th scale Supes imaging that!?

Hot Toys is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Mattel Reeve is good not great but at least I actually have that figure Unlike this one. Bad business to say you will be releasing something and never explaining why you missed the date. They really need to make a statement sooner then later. There is no excuse in the world why they haven't done so yet.

You are absolutely correct, and right on the money. As antsy Hot Toys was in announcing Superman and how he was 'coming' this past winter, they should be just as quick to disseminate a statement regarding the lack of news on this piece.

They owe us that much, especially since this has been a speculate figure for years and one that was obviously driven by the support of the fan-base they have developed over the years.

It's poor PR for HT to let this slide, not state why they missed a target date that was not imposed by anyone, but stated by their own staffers and promotional department.

Epic fail on that front, and even if the figure is released, well received and a smash, their business operation on that regard was garbage.

And none of that will matter a hill of beans because whether the likeness is 100% or a Reeve mongoloid, or they announce 15 more dates and ignore them, he'll still sell out. Indy's a prime example. :lol

I agree, and just read my statement and post above, as that won't necessarily effect sales or the desire to have this figure, for many. No doubt about it, but the way of handling this, the business aspect of this, from a PR standpoint and promotion has been a complete failure.

That is true. If he is a perfect likeness then you'll hear the same people complaining about the delay talking about how they were glad HT took their time. :lol

If it sucks....well then the internet might actually implode...

at this point it docent matter to me if they screw up the blue of the suit (Cinemaquette for example)....
