Re: Hot Toys Superman

That looks like the 1/4 scale Reeve produced by Philfx a few years back. He just finished a new version with a much better head sculpt. Hopefully since HT's sculpting talents have grown since then, we can expect a much closer resemblance.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Hey, uh, Hot Toys how bout some official pics?

I was thinking they d reveal The Terminator at Christmas like they did the T-2 but now im thinking that honour will most likely go to Supes.Or Jason Statham.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

by the end of October you'll see some pics!! :wink1:

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Now that HT is officially working on Reeves, I'm happy for whenever they're ready for the big reveal. Even without pics -he's still my #1 most anticipated figure.

:lecture :exactly: :goodpost:

I only needed official confirmation. Now we have that I will rest easy.

But yeh, No.1 anticipated figure by a mile.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Same here! I totally agree! Since I was a kid I've always wanted a GREAT Christopher Reeve Superman 1:6 scale figure. What I got back then in the late 1970s was the poorly done MEGO Superman that looked NOTHING like him. So I've been dreaming for this figure for that long!

Les Walker is working on one for me now. So hopefully I'll finally get that one from him. But I am REALLY looking forward to seeing what Hot Toys does with Superman. I know I will pre-order it as soon as it goes up for pre-ordering. :)

I have my 12" MEGO and still my favorite 12 inch figure (lol i know is insane!) but about the pre-order thing i think i will order this one directly from HK, i don't think i wait that much!!:panic:

its been 30 years without a mini-Reeve

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Yeah, I still own my 12" MEGO Superman too. :) Here it is next to my custom Christopher Reeve Clark Kent. The great custom painted head sculpt courtesy of Les Walker! :yess:

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Very cool CK! nice miniature of a Daily Planet Newspaper, hope the Hot Toys figure comes with one! :monkey3

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Oh yeah! I see a LOT of Reeve in it! Especially in person! Once again Les Walker "nails" the likeness! Just like he's done with many other sculpts. I'm very proud of it. So even if Hot Toys doesn't make a Clark Kent...I've already got what I think is the best Reeve Clark Kent I've ever seen and now own! :clap

Re: Hot Toys Superman

It's a DX i believe, it's coming with a Clark sculpt (i would think)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

hey guys, stumbled upon these. they aren't mine, but out of all of them, i think the clark kent one has just a perfect likeness to CR

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Gipetto I think those busts are the works of Bob Causey. I may be mistaken. But I know he does incredible work with 1:1 busts, and even did a full life-sized Reeve Superman statue about 6 years ago that was photographed with Margot Kidder at a public event...somewhere. I think he's working on a new Reeve Superman life-sized statue again this year.

Yeah, those busts are one of the BEST representations of Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent and Superman. Incredible! :) I'd love to buy them. But I can only imagine how much they cost!

I initially thought they were by BobbyC but the website had the name of the artist. John something I believe it was. And these aren't mass produced. As far as I know, the page was the artists page and he had tons of different superman statues and busts I had never seen before so I'm sure they are things he personally made for himself. He also had a couple awesome George Reeves busts and statues so that was another thing that made it clear it wasn't BobbyC, as to my knowlgede Bobby has only made the 1:1, and is currently making the 1/3, another 1:1, and a 1/6 sculpt of just CR

But yea I would looove to have that Clark Kent man. It just looks amazing!
