Re: Hot Toys Superman

I'm still just happy and content that it's actually happening.

(but seeing something would be nice as well)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

No Superman figure yet :dunno

turds dry up too. . .

:rotfl

Turds may dry up, but they sure as heck don't smell better. & that's pretty bad if someone lets it sit around long enough to do that......though I guess it isn't all that great if they let vomit dry up too.

Lesson here: Clean it while it's wet.

.......wait, what?

Re: Hot Toys Superman

i'm willing to bet we'll have either expo pics or spec pics by the end of today...

MERRY CHRISTMAS, FREAKS!

Re: Hot Toys Superman

got to say this...

As bad as the HT indy looks ( just talking about the complete lack of a likeness in the face) I'm kinda concerned for superman now.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I think, without a doubt the sculpt will be worked on before it's released. What we're seeing now & commenting on is an unfortunate side effect of us needing an instant photo fix.

It's like with games. There's plenty of bugs & kinks; but they get worked on before they hit stores.

Just think of what we're seeing as betas or demos.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Indy looks ok. I don't get all the hate. Is it one of HT's home runs? Not yet. But as they always change things before release, I'm sure they will tighten the likeness up a bit. I for one would buy one as is, right now.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Indy looks great... I hope Hot Toys puts lumps of coal in your stocking this year Superman fans and they show nothing... LOL... J/K... :):):)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Indy looks fine.Bad photos don't make bad sculpts. The pic is at an awkward angle, and even then,it still looks good in my opinion.

Also,it seems like HT has been getting consistently _____ed at by their fans."Oh,his nose is a millimeter too long," or "his face isn't long enough."And the worst part is,these are the same people who then go on about how spectacular the figure is after they finally get it.

This isn't directed at you Lerath, but it just brought out some feelings.I mean, this is a fun hobby, granted,I haven't been a part of it for too long, but we do this because we enjoy these characters, and, again,we like this hobby. At the price point, attention to detail is always a good thing, but it seems as though all this nitpicking is taking the fun out of it,moreso for the nitpickers.I mean, for alot of you, these are figures you've been waiting 30+ years for,and I can understand how you'd want the best figure possible.

Frankly, I'm just happy that these licenses are getting quality figures.End rant

Agreed. I'm so happy that these guys sit on my shelf. The slight inaccuracies are frankly part of the art. That they are even being made to this quality at all is incredible. I remember the action figures in the late 80's. I'm glad hot toys is doing more and more classic lines.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

While all the releases look top notch (Indy included)...am still waiting for Christopher Reeve Superman....that figure is going to be the show stealer !! Tomorrows the last day, hope we get it by then !

Edit: Feels like am waiting for a celebrity or some real person of importance...

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I thought it was pretty funny.:lol

Don't worry guys, the pics of him will be here before you know it. Think about it this way, if you don't get pics of him during the show, it gives you something to look forward to in January.
