Re: Hot Toys Superman

I don't know if it's the lighting or angles, but Jor El looks like Mr.Bean after he got punched in both eyes.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

To be honest I think Reeve is the only good thing about those old films - they've otherwise dated very badly IMO.

While he isn't very evil in terms of modern villians, I really enjoyed Gene Hackman's Luthor.

Lets see if HT can get the rights from Clint Eastwood for a Man With No Name figure :yess:

If that ever happened, I would :thud:

And what ever HOT TOYS have plans for the SUPERMAN C.R, I get each one too!!:)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I've managed to avoid HT figures, as such (i have some of the TrueType bodies laying around waiting to be used for projects)

But screw it, i'm going to get this...

This IS my Superman, i grew up with this film, and Chris has always been MY Superman :)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I start collecting this figures in Jan. 2009 in this one was my first set from HOT TOYS and I can't say anything they are look good!! I saw the SUPERMAN: RETURNS movie five times and I recheck my figures and special Superman suit and for me looks great, if we talk about Superman C.R is diferent thing in everyway...the actor, suit...BLA,BlA,BLA;)

I never sell this figures, because they are from diferent movies and diferent times, just my two cents!!;)

....what?

please try to speak clearer. :lecture

Oh once you start with Hot toys your in trouble :wink1: ive got 20+ atm and more on pre-order. I do however only get what i really want now unlike before when i was buying just about anything and then reselling them.

I agree about CR, i watched the Superman films as well when they 1st came out at the cinema and he will always be supes to me :peace

Re: Hot Toys Superman

The HT Jor-El is f'n awesome. Spot on to the likeness of Brando. And to it's credit, the HT Jor-El has aged very well in detail. Gonna display him when Reeve is finally released someday.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Damn, do you guys think that Jor-el will go up in price. WHen CR's Superman is released. So I might have to pick one up.

Yup. And after having found and bought one for an insanely inflated price, Hot Toys will announce the Superman DX Jor-El figure with light up crystals, black outfit and improved PERS headsculpt! Gotta love this hobby :)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

i think the 2in1 supes holds up really well. all that's holding it back is the body. with a few minor mods, it can stand really well with the newer and more expensive bad boys.

like so:

i took the foam stuff from my dx bats box and just stuffed his chest. shoulders are from a medi diesel body.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Sorry for my stupidity, but I keep reading "has held up over the years" quite a number of times, or in other similar forms, in this and other threads. Do these 1/6 scale models typically lose their form after so many years? Do they start to deteriorate or sag or lose texture and colour?

Kindly enlighten me please, as now I'm afraid my collections will be ruined in a few years...?
