My waitlist converted for an exclusive edition. Going to need to decide soon if I want to keep it. I currently only have 1/6 figures in my collection... ugh.. so hard to decide. It'd be 100x easier if I knew what other 1/4 figures HT was planning on releasing this year. Disappointing they can't release a 1/4 Joker!

I can't speak for everyone but I am not disappointed, the DX11 sculpt looks nothing like Ledger IMO, so I doubt a 1/4 scale one would either unless they got someone with talent that could sculpt it. Then again it would be cool to have clothes and a body with higher quality than Enterbays junk so IDK.

i went with the regular version and saved about $40 ordering it from BBTS. the plain extra bat mask didn't seem worth the extra bucks. not like the catwoman exclusive that gives you a damaged mask. plus the $46.50 deposit sucks. if you cancel, you'll lose that.

I thought the Catwoman Exclusive is just an empty cowl like this Exlcusive. Bane comes with the damaged cowl. I only opted for the exclusive for this because it comes with every mask but an empty one and to find one at 1/4 scale is harder to find than 1/6 scale.

I think Hot Toys have talented sculters, they are just not as good as Enterbay sculpters though. Plus they probably have some restrictions in regards of PERS. I think they are forced to sculpt big eyes' holes, so PERS can get better articulation and have more impact in the final product. As you said before, Hot Toys don't really care for 100% likeness and realism.. they produce action figures that are half toys (for fun, with a lot of accessories and extra features) and half likeness... I'm in the minority here, which thinks that likeness and realism is the more important thing... So If this figure were accurate I'd buy it even if it only would come with the basic figure and a couple of extra hands. (no PERS of course).

Yea Selena Kyle/Catwoman Ex comes with empty cowl. And bane has the broken Cowl.

I'd only consider buying this if they announced a 1/4 Joker as well, I'm surprised they haven't yet, maybe they're waiting to see how this sells. I'd take their sculpt over Enterbay's any day. To me, Enterbay's Joker looks like his evil twin caricature, with it's narrow face and pointy Jay Leno/Wicked Witch chin. Even the HT Bank Robber Joker looks better to me, something that becomes more apparent when it's paint is removed.

But whatever, it's not like it's a talent to have an opinion about a toy's face, it's more like preferring one set of flaws over another. :)

They can't. Enterbay has the license for TDK. HT jumped on the 1:4 scale bandwagon too late to claim it. Same story with T2 - Enterbay has that. HT has T1.
Oh I keep forgetting about that part. :slap Thanks for the reminder. And that's why EB made the Batman Begins suit only. Oh well, I guess I'm skipping 1/4 Batman stuff altogether then, having just a Batman isn't worth it to me (might consider Neca's 1/4 stuff though). Still, I look forward to the reviews and pics for this figure. :)

Enterbay could make the TDK suit, their license should cover it. People may well want them to if the HT one stays the way it is and possibly comes out a bit of a shortarse compared to Enterbay's idea of 1:4 scale.

I wonder how come hot toys can fail on getting the right size for 1/4 scale?.. One just measure the 1:1 (or get that info on the internet), then split by four and we are done... that way you get the right size for the quarter scale..

The one cool thing I love about this (or any batman figure for that matter), is that the annoying crotch support can be hidden by the cape, giving the impression that it's a statue. I'm not really into the figure genre of collecting, but this thing has incredible detail, and I'm a huge fan of Batman (both vintage and modern). So even though it's a figure, I'm seriously considering picking one of these up if I'm still able to get one.

I've viewed a bunch of pics between this one and the one from Enterbay, and quite honestly, I like Enterbay's Batman Begins suit. It just seems much more Batman-esque compared to Hot Toys' Rises suit. This one seems like it would be called Hot Toys Heavily-Armored-Batman, or something. It still looks fantastic though. The base for this one is a HUGE selling point for me. Might end up getting both to satisfy my hunger.

I also like the way (on Enterbay's Batman) that you can pull his cape all the way over both his shoulders, like it's completely draping him, giving off a much darker image of him. Can this also be done with Hot Toys' version?

Oh I didnt know that either, I'm very confused why EB chose the Begins suit then. And I think I know what you mean by short, I did see something about the HT Endoskeleton not being big enough, which seemed odd to me.

Well, thanks again for the info, I don't know much about 1/4 scale, but I've been looking into it lately. I almost did consider the EB stuff, before I was fully aware of their QC problems. And I was hoping HT would fix some DX12 issues for this 1/4 version (like the most commonly modded things), just to justify the price more, but like you said it probably won't happen. I suppose it'll save me money in the long run. :lol

Is is really being released soon? waitlist conversion and my status changed to changing soon but no in-hand pictures from HK?

you are 100% correct. it did come with bane. i'm not too sure that HT will be making more 1/4 scale figures unless this takes off well. the price point is very high. so an extra undamaged cowl isn't very desirable to me for $40.

huh? then how are they producing ANY 1/4 scale figures if another company has the license? unless there's a provision in the licensing limiting what they can do. i have seen sideshow do this. but all the extra 1/4 scale accessories this batman has makes me wonder what the straight story is with this line.

Each film is a seperate license, no? Thusly its no different than if HT has the license for TDKR at 1:6 but Enterbay has the license for TDK at 1:6 (that isn't the case, just a pretend example) Neither company has exclusive rights to produce the 1:4 scale itself.

Sort of a general question but it applies to this fig for me. If he was delayed, how far in advance does SS delay the last flex pay? My last one is due May 5th. Also, do they deduct shipping in the final payment? I've only flexed one time and I payed it off early, plus that figure was already out at the time. (Iron Monger)
