Everytime I see that head I can't help but wonder WTF the sculptor was thinking when he/she made that. "There we go...finished. Looks perfect!"

I mean seriously, how the f--k can they not see that it looks nothing like Bale? In fact, the more I look at the whole figure, the more it looks like an upscaled DX12, lol. The base looks pretty damn cool though, but no doubt the production piece will probably have crappy paint apps.

Oh, and lol @ girly/gay face. Sums it up perfectly. I always thought that face plate looked awkward.

Oh I agree, I have no problem with the suit at all, I just really hate the Cowl and those face plates etc.

Like I said before I think likeness is the last thing on the list when they produce these DX type sculpts. However, I would have to agree this looks pretty bad even for a DX.

While I would absolutely love......... it to look like Bale, as long as it didn't look stupid and girly looking like it does now I would be fine with it.

Im sure some talented person will make custom face plates for this. There is money to be made as not many fans are happy with the originals. Also if any "customisers" are reading this, please please make a custom velvet cape in a 1/4 scale like i got for my DX12!!! It kicked the original capes ***

True that.. Its more of a Joel Shumacker inspired face plate me thinks... Hehe. Actually now that i think about it, George Clooney had that expression a lot in Batman & Robin!!

Im sure some talented person will make custom face plates for this. There is money to be made as not many fans are happy with the originals. Also if any "customisers" are reading this, please please make a custom velvet cape in a 1/4 scale like i got for my DX12!!! It kicked the original capes ***

No doubt talented guys like Robbie and Tony Meis will be making face plates and capes but a $500 piece shouldn't need such heavy mods. If I have to go through all the mods I made to my DX12 to make this look like TDKR Bats, then it's not worth it. Suddenly this figure becomes a nearly $600 figure.

No doubt talented guys like Robbie and Tony Meis will be making face plates and capes but a $500 piece shouldn't need such heavy mods. If I have to go through all the mods I made to my DX12 to make this look like TDKR Bats, then it's not worth it. Suddenly this figure becomes a nearly $600 figure.

I see what you mean but i saw a lot of reviews on DX12 before i purchased him and i could see from the picture i was not gonna like the original cape. So when i got my DX12 i didnt even bother unwrapping the cape and i simply ordered a custom from america which lookd very accurate and sat and flowed better over his shoulders. Thats what i want for this guy

no, actually, HE DOES. And when he does smile, Batman is more frightening. His smile is menacing. Like you don't know what he's thinking to cause you pain. Remember how he smiled at the circus guy in Batman Returns? That smile, and Keaton pulled it off. It's the smile that says "are you sure you can take me, punk?". In comics, everyone -- from Justice League to Arkham doctors to his foes -- get scared when he smiles. I can't forget how an Arkham psychologist stuttered while saying "a-a-are you s-smiling?" And shameless plugging aside, I also love drawing Batman smiling, case in point my signature.

He smiles, just not like how the face plate proto and DX12 was sculpted, or how Clooney smiled under his cowl as if he's happy he thinks his nippled suit was sexy.

Yeah I was going to say those two artist to, but I agree a $500 figure should not have to be modded when they could at least do a better face plate because they proved they can sculpt Bale's lower face at least with that DX12 Bale sculpt. There is just no reason they can't do what Robbie did and give us that face plate.

They can't fix the PERS but at least they can make Batman not look like a girl and give him a faceplate that is more accurate to Bale.

I didn't bother unwrapping mine either, who did you buy yours from? I bought mine from lforigno. It was cheaper than Tony's but I will admit no where near as good but good enough for me for the price.

I think Nightwing was mainly talking about the Nolan Batman and not the others. I think I have seen very few shots of Bale smiling as Batman but I agree they were nothing like the DX12 faceplates or this abomination.

I do like the figure, just not the sculpt, I am still thinking about picking it up and hoping Robbie does a faceplate. Really I am the second highest poster? I rarely visit this thread. I have not posted here for a while now but so you single me out after everyone else complains, I just said one thing that I didn't like the face plate and everyone else thought it sucked to, then they said they hated the capes etc. But you ignore them and have to go and pass judgement on me. Why?

I see. Well if that's the case, yes, Bale smiled a few times, a smirk/smile that Escuderia captured well in one of the faceplates for EB's 1/4 Batman.

They are all just poor efforts at the faceplates. He's not supposed to be smiling it's supposed to be that upturned closed mouth that he has on the DX12 Bruce wayne head too, just fro some reason they made it too upturned so it looks like hes pushing his chin into his neck while smiling.

The faceplates are the worst thing. If they were fine it'd make the whole cowl appear better but i actually think the cowl looks a lot better than the DX12, at least from those photos from ages ago
