Perhaps fair enough about repetition. At least mix it up a bit with some posts that aren't complaining. I haven't always looked at this thread though so maybe Darkavatar has been doing that and you guys are selectively remembering his posts. I've had people do that with my own posts in the past - choosing only to remember the posts where I said something negative to back up their attack, ignoring the fact that so many other posts were positive, neutral, in good fun etc.

But no I maintain that it is no surprise to see him coming back to this thread again and again even with the criticisms he has. If it were a statue and he has never and never intends to buy a statue I would wonder why hes bothering but if Batman and action figures are his thing of course hes going to be here.

But therein lies the problem...when does the poster pull the plug? I mean, after 15-20 pgs of LITERALLY saying the same thing, from the SAME poster, dude...c'mon, does someone really need to repeat himself that many times? At times I feel like this goes on in certain posters minds "whoa whoa whoa! wait, this member, I don't recognize him..he's new here, which means he doesn't know how I feel about this figure...y'know what? That needs to be corrected right this instant!!"

I mean c'mon man!

And like I said in my post about the hall of armor...I really wanted it. But I did NOT want it with that price tag. I made no more than 10 posts...POSTS, NOT PAGES, debating or sharing my opinion on the matter. After that, I moved on to something I cared bout, well waddaya know? Batman figures!

It's real simple, you don't like it or find too many flaws with a product, you don't buy it. I don't care if you're a huge super mega fan, if a product based on that character is ugly as sin, you avoid it like the plague. I liked iron man 3...am I gonna buy the mk42? NO, cause I think the design looks ugly as sin. Do I go into the thread complaining bout it? I don't care if that has nothing to do with "incorrect" cowl or "girly/gay" faces. I can find as much to complain about the mk42 but I choose not to because I DON'T CARE ABOUT IT.

If someone is so upset with HTs 1/4 offering of this batman, sit tight and wait for another company to make theirs. Simple. Done.

I do agree with what you say to an extent but if you know something is being made and is shown with inaccuracies that bother you then there is only so many times you can kick the same dead horse without it flipping 180 on yourself

I have no quarrel with people being disappointed and venting it over the board, i do so myself but if your a type of collector that want's authentic 100% lifelike figures then you are collecting in the wrong format with the wrong company, and dare i say most wouldn't be able to afford them. In the grand scheme of things $500 isn't that much really for what they are attempting to do, not when other types of plastic things can go for thousands and not really have that amount of effort put into it

HT have never been that company, it's just what the consumers themselves strive for them to be and HT deliveries what it delivers. As technology has advanced and figures have got better quality people have got greedy. It has to be 100% spot on or it isn't right and they just use the excuse that well they should be able to get the 100% accuracy now. Even Adams sculpts are not 100% and they went for serious money and that was a head alone. What would people say if they started having to shell out $1250+ per figure?

You could argue that Enterbay is better than HT but then you have to suffer the QC issues. I'd rather have this Batman (off the bat) with the bad faceplates than Enterbay Batman which could turn up with one leg longer than the other. Regardless of whether the Enterbay one looks more realistic and accurate. You have to think of the figure as a whole. Not saying the HT one is better there either

They know what to expect and what is coming because you get the proto pics a long time in advance. It's all fine saying people can say what they wan't but it has to end somewhere before it just becomes a pointless debate which it is right now

Darkavator i have no problem with you as a member, at all. Just to clear that up. You and many others wan't something a lot more lifelike and accurate and that's fine, this isn't being made the way you would prefer and that's how it is. Be disappointed and if that's what you really wan't then wait until one comes out that qualifies, if not then just be glad you didn't spend $500 on something you didn't really want as it stands now. We have had this conversation before in this very thread regarding pers

Complaining constantly about the same thing will not get anyone anywhere. This i thought was obvious

I'm glad for the non-aggressive responses, I was a bit worried about what I might have put myself in for here when I'm really not in the mood for a flamewar.

Ultimately this is a losing battle for both sides though. I know because I see it all over the forum time and time again. Sometimes its the same people involved, oftentimes its new people though.

I don't know why I even engage in it as a topic itself 'complaining about complaining' etc. It goes nowhere. One day I'll learn to just leave it.

Anyway back to the figure... Has anyone figured out where the release date is for in July?? Is it asia or europe?

Anyway back to the figure... Has anyone figured out where the release date is for in July?? Is it asia or europe?

I think the July date was from members who pre-ordered with Sideshow, so if the dates don't get pushed back again then Asia should be earlier

The only reason people are *****ing is because of how good the other aspects of the figure are. Look at the accessories and the suit, and you will see that this has the potential to be the definitive Bale Batman figure. Now, look at the faceplates, the PERS, the cowl, and the proportions. The thing has enough going for it, but the fact of the matter is that the things bringing it down are some of the most important things. Personally, I don't give a damn if his arms are a little too long, so you can strike that last one from the record, but, when the part that represents the character as portrayed by a specific actor looks nothing like said actor, that's where I have a problem.

Frank, as far as your point about us being greedy goes, I agree with you. We are greedy, but, then, look at what HT has delivered in the past. When I see things like their Keaton Batman or their Nicholson Jokers, I'm blown away. They are some of the greatest things I've ever seen. Then, I see Enterbay, who nailed Bale's likeness on their first try with the faceplates. Why should Hot Toys not be able to do the same? People constantly use constructive criticism to give them pointers on what they can do to improve it, and they've shown that they are plenty capable of delivering accuracy and realism before. Hell, they listened to the complainers about Reeve Superman, and look how that turned out.

My point is that there are no excuses; people shouldn't have to wait until the next one. The minute those proto pics hit, there were a bunch of people who pointed out the flaws. HT should simply LISTEN, and people like Darkavatar here wouldn't have to beat it into the ground.

Not taking a cheap shot at you darkavatar...but YOU ARE BORDERLINE becoming the member I alluded to earlier.

Dude, seriously, quit while you're ahead. WE HEAR YOU. Now, take the chance and spam mail HT to make a difference. The sad truth here is this:YOUR COMPLAINTS HERE WILL GO UNHEARD.

You want change? Speak with your wallet. You want change? Complain to HT. write them a properly worded, devoid of fanboyism letter, then let us know the aftermath. In fact, start a petition. I personally like this figure. However I am not opposed to changes that can make it shine even further. You start a petition, and I will happily throw my signature on the line.

I'm not bashing you man. But what made me stop frequenting the dx12 thread is because of that member. I.AM.NOT.JOKING.

We get it bro, you want them to fix things. Telling us isn't gonna do s#!t.

This is the problem, both u and Frank think I am here to troll and constantly complain about the cowl or whatever. This is not the case, otherwise wouldn't I be here every day saying the dam thing? Or just repeating this figure sucks constantly? I rarely post here, I think it had been at least a few weeks since my last post before my recent girly one. I think I am probably one of the highest posters here because this thread gets very few post and I reply to too many people's post. :dunno

I honestly do not understand why some people single me out, when I just asked one question after I said how girly the face plate was and if there were pics of the frown face. All I wanted to know if there were any pics of the figure with the frown face! Now this obviously caused a domino effect and everyone that had a problem with the figure started posting. So I guess you can blame me for that, but I am really not repeating the same stuff, just agreeing with other people that had problems with the DX12 and did mods or bought different capes because I did the same thing to.

Well, I am not trying to constantly come back and start up trouble I just asked one single question. Then everyone started to laugh at the term I used and agreed and wondered what Hot Toys was thinking making that. Nevertheless, thanks for sticking up for me once again!

If you read the thread correctly you would know I am not doing this but understanding why other members have problems with this and just agreeing with them.

I have no quarrel with people being disappointed and venting it over the board, i do so myself but if your a type of collector that want's authentic 100% lifelike figures then you are collecting in the wrong format with the wrong company, and dare i say most wouldn't be able to afford them. Funny, some of their figures are realistic and look like real people like Storm Shadow Gi Joe, so I do think they are a company that strives to produce realistic figures outside the DX line. When it comes to the DX line, it seems they care more about moveable eyes than likeness or realism, however, I have said that many times but only in response to people that keep asking the question why doesn't it look realistic.

So I still do not understand why you are singling me out when I said, while I would like it to look like Bale, I would be fine if it just didn't look stupid. Which is a response to someone's post about how they wanted it to look like Bale.

You could argue that Enterbay is better than HT but then you have to suffer the QC issues. I would agree with that both have pros and cons but again I never repeated that Enterbays one was better over and over and every day for weeks, I think I said it once or twice in response to someones post obviously. T7 was the one that said Hot Toys failed while Enterbay delivered. Not me.

Darkavator i have no problem with you as a member, at all. Just to clear that up. I have no problems with you either but I think you need to see what is really going on and that while I prefer a realistic looking figure, for the last few pages, I don't remember mentioning that I went on and on about wanting a realistic figure.

Complaining constantly about the same thing will not get anyone anywhere. This i thought was obvious

:lecture

That is the problem u and wolf have, I say one thing and I get some followers I guess, and those people start complaining and because I agree with them and reply to their post and understand where they are coming from, it looks like maybe I am the one saying the same stuff over again. I think the main problem is that I say something and it causes a Domino effect then people have problems with this figure come out and say what they want changed.

I mean people on here actually like that girly face term I made but others like your self and wolf take as that I want to wine for the sake of wining. I think you and wolf need to grow thicker skins, can't u just laugh some things off? Ironically I never expected people would find that term funny and start to use it, I just wanted to see some dam pics with the frowning face! Other people complain about the arms etc and hate how it is just another DX12, which apart from the head I have mentioned numerous times on here that I like that figure. Anyway I am done posting here unless it is something positive because some people find my post funny and that obviously causes problems for wolf and you because then all the haters come out after they laughed at that comment I made and said all the problems they had with their DX12 and what they don't like about this figure. So I think my main problem is not repeating stuff but the fact that I cause the haters to come out and start complaining about the figure.

Dude, this will be my last response in regards to bashing, constructive criticism, or in your eyes, singling you out.

You just said it yourself, not many post here for various reasons, then when you drop in, what's the main thing you talk about?

Exactly. Then you go on repeating yourself. Yes, I'm aware you are responding to others that disagree with you and that's normal, but when you reach post 7-10, saying the same thing...c'mon, what did you expect?

For the record, I never called you a troll. You're alright in my book, however your posts here and back in the dx12 thread were dancing on the borderline of troll. At least you haven't made condescending remarks thus far, but constantly repeating your point falls under that category. As for the others that complain about the other things...so far they just jump in, say what they gotta say, and move on.

Once again. I'm not calling you a troll nor am I singling you out. I'm just giving you some friendly advice before you become a joke like the other guy. You DO know when some members here draw a bunch of lines on proto pics are actually making fun of the member that did it, right? That's how much of a clown he is.

And you still haven't mentioned my suggestion of either spamailing hot toys or start a petition. You can complain all you want...THE BOTTOM LINE IS WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Only HT can. Dx12 was polarizing, many loved it based on the proto, some bashed it and sent complaints to HT. nothing happened.

Dx05, Indiana jones...that was almost universally panned by most if not all members here on this very board. Nothing happened.

My point? If the backlash for Indy didn't change a thing, the backlash for this is most likely not gonna change a thing either...(which btw, the backlash isn't as big as it was for Indy)

You tell me to grow thicker skin...shouldn't you do the same? Dont take my posts too seriously, because i do not think or label you as a troll. Just giving advice.

I respect your opinion. But Do I agree with it? No.

:hi5:

However, I am not the only one beating it into the ground, yet everyone thinks I am. :thud:

You just said it yourself, not many post here for various reasons, then when you drop in, what's the main thing you talk about?

Actually I just asked to see if there any pics without the smiley girly face. I guess once I said girl face that brought out all the haters, it looks like it is the main thing I am talking about because I agree with them:dunno

Exactly. Then you go on repeating yourself. Yes, I'm aware you are responding to others that disagree with you and that's normal, but when you reach post 7-10, saying the same thing...c'mon, what did you expect?

Most people are not disagreeing with me, those are the people I am responding to and agreeing with. Only you and Frank are arguing with me that is fine but you should not single me out if I am agreeing with other people's complaints. I didn't think I was repeating my self just agreeing with others but I guess I must be. Nevertheless, I see now I am dominating the thread by doing this.

For the record, I never called you a troll. You're alright in my book, however your posts here and back in the dx12 thread were dancing on the borderline of troll. At least you haven't made condescending remarks thus far, but constantly repeating your point falls under that category. Yeah I would agree with that and appreciate the friendly advice and you are alright in my book to. However, the fact that you are only replying to me and not to xplosive or Batfan for example makes me think u are singling me out. I just wish you would realize that I am just agreeing with others complaints and not really complaining my self but just seeing where they are coming from. However, like I said before whether I am repeating my self or not I am not dominating the thread by doing this so I need to stop.

I know you can't do anything about it but I am not trying to make them do anything about it I was just agreeing with other people's complaints and hoping Robbie does a face plate for this figure.

You tell me to grow thicker skin...shouldn't you do the same? Dont take my posts too seriously, because i do not think or label you as a troll. Just giving advice.

I respect your opinion. But Do I agree with it? No.

The fact that I am agreeing with other people's complaints and repeating what they say is in fact repeating the same thing over and over. Is that what you mean by me repeating my self? Regardless, like I said before I think I am dominating this thread by agreeing with others and repeating what they said. Anyway I am not saying anything negative again or repeating other peoples negative post by replying to them. So point taken and I guess I see where u are coming from now. :peace
