That looks awesome, I wish Hot Toys would take more time to release their figures so each one looks like the prototype.

There are limitations to what you can do at a mass scale, though, and stuff like rooted hair is impossible. I agree as far as Rory's other mods go, though. If I ever pick up a DX 11, I know the first place it's headed.:lol

From what I understand, their offer wasn't that great; thus, the rejection.

Adam can easily make the amount they offer for a commission piece, which they are planning to mass produce, is my guess.

But i can understand HT side as they are after all a business. Plus they got an army of sculptor at their disposal, and fans will buy regardless as long as likeness is 90-95%.

A business that makes millions. It comes down to Howard Chan being cheap; regardless of the offer, they could've spared a bit more to get the guy who's become synonymous with quality Joker sculpts; his influence was certainly felt in the DX 11.

If you were him, which would you chose:

$2k 90% likeness by yulli

Or

>$2k 98% likeness by adam

And they own the exclusive right to produce 1/6 scale joker figure.

It's kind of like apples and oranges, though. I would assume that, by now, Yulli is probably earning a salary, rather than being paid on a commission basis. We don't know the specifics of the Adam deal, other than that, clearly, he felt it was too low.

I'd say they're pretty close. I'd put Yulli's in the 80%-85% range, though.

I would put it in the 40% range, the jaw shape is totally abnormal it looks like a duck. The nose does not have noticeable wide nose Ledger has, rather it is small like a skeletons nose. Adam's are more like the 80-85% range.

I thought we had this discussion, already? The DX 11 sculpt was great. 40% is kind of...well, that's just crazy talk.

So is 85-95%, just because you can recognize the actor doesn't mean it is dead on or that the sculpt is 90-98% accurate. I am sure there are people out there that look at Adams and think a lot of things on it are totally inaccurate. I think one person said the nose was way too wide or something. I am guessing there are other things off to.

Except that it's pretty accurate, for what they were going for. Devil already posted about it in the DX 11 thread when that came out almost a year ago.:lol

Yep. That being said, I'm not really sure what other QS figures I'd like to see. As far as Nolan goes, BB Batman and/or TDK Joker would probably take the cake, but I'd also love to see older stuff like Reeve Superman and Keaton Batman, as well (key word being "see," as it's unlikely I'll be able to afford more than one or two QS figures in my collecting lifetime).:lol

So no TKDR? just TDK (this figure is close enough to TDK), what about MOS?
