Nobody needs to be afraid of things like futzing the chest and abs into place, or pulling the boots off and repositioning them for a longer leg. Hopefully someone will find the demos helpful.

Like I said, this is a very good video mate :)

I have decided not to keep this figure, but I still wanted to share my thoughts.

Hopefully something in this video will be useful to somebody. Here are the contents:

  • Cape installation - :30
  • Shoulder shimming (shortening the neck and giving the traps a slope) - 2:53
  • Ab straps futzing - 4:30
  • Straightening the pants (getting the knee pads over the knees) - 6:08
  • Boot removal - 6:36
  • Ankle/boot extension (added height to display with Enterbay) - 7:03
  • Abdominal shape rant - 8:22
  • Proposed fix for belly - 10:25
  • How to remove the upper armor and suit - 10:55
  • Head-to-shoulder-ratio rant - 12:06
  • Proposed fix for shoulder width - 13:15

Great video, I know people have talked about the boot extension but I sort of didn't get it until I watched your video. Now I know exactly what to do. About the head being too small, it looks too big like stretched in this pic from SDCC here, do you think that this is Len's distortion?

Great video Maglor, had a quick flick through and will definitely use if I have any issues with mine when it arrives :hi5:

Thanks for uploading your video Maglor! The extremely detailed cape installation, knee pad centering, and height adjustment will definitely come in handy for everyone with this figure. :clap

Sorry to see that you are letting this guy go. I would have loved to see your extensive mods on it. I think a lot of people are wary of doing anything to it because of how expensive this figure is and how it will affect its resale value. But what you did for the EB figure really elevated it for everyone who got it. The shimming of the shoulders seems pretty straightforward, so I may try that. As for the padding the lower abdominal area, stitch-ripping looks doable since the belt will cover the restitching job anyway. I just need this figure to come in now. :impatient:

Great vid Maglor :hi5:

Its funny, when i got my Bats yesterday I thought my suit was totally screwed with the way the pads sat on the knees.

Did exactly what you said with the suit and looks great now.

My abs however seem fine to me, as does the rest of the figure. An absolutely beautiful figure I must say.

I will likely order or attempt to make a different cape though. It looks great on the shelf but when I turn the lights on it really detracts from the figure. It will work for now though.

Definitely glad I pick this one up. Hopefully they make a 1/4 scale Bane in the future to go with him.

Received mine before. Love it. Love everything about it, except for some issues.

Firstly, the Kevlar on the left pectoral armour is really dull. You can't see the Kevlar underneath as much as you can on the right side of the armour. If this was the armour on the arms or abs, I wouldn't be bothered as much. I foolishly tried to rub it, and in the lights of my house I can't really tell if I've made it worse or I've actually made it better?

Secondly, the ab armour doesn't appear to have been glued on correctly in line with the bodysuit underneath. The ab armour plates have been glued on to the 'zip' that runs up the middle of the bodysuit incorrectly. More to one side than the other. Meaning everything is wonky.

Both are pretty major issues for me who has OCD when it comes to this stuff.

Like I say if these problems were elsewhere on the figure like his back, or something, I wouldn't be bothered too much. But because it's on his chest and stomach it's quite an issue.

Hmm ill have to give it a few days and see how I feel!

Unreal figure though, recommended to any batfan / fans of the enterbay 1:4 . The angry mouth piece is worth it alone!!

Mine has the exact same problem. Left pectorial has a matte finish like yours, and can't see much of the pattern underneath, but the right one is shiny and very clear. Very annoying, but I didn't wanna go through the hassle of returning to Sideshow as its an exclusive, so I've learnt to live with it. I haven't tried to rectify it incase I ruin it, but there are 2 possibilities. You can try polishing the dull side so it matches the right, or you can apply some matte varnish to the shiny aide so it matches the left. Problem is I'm unsure of what product to use to polish the dull side, but I'd say this would be the easiest option if we knew what product to use.

Also, depending on how its lit up, it may not be noticeable. I noticed if you light it from above with led spotlights or the like, its not too noticeable.
