If it is the figure I'll eat my words. It's cool to have fellow fans put up a good argument. Howard Chan said in the last interview that they would announce the next DX in the next 2 months, that was at the start if April. Hoping to get an announcement in the next few weeks.

"Hello Doctor Silberman. How's the knee?"

Well, heck if they're going to show a pic of the exploded T1000 head, they better included it with the figure, whether or not the upper left pic is film still or the real deal.

Just showing that tiny pic in the left corner pretty much elevated fan and collector expectations.

Well back to Sarah Connor herself, to be honest her face is fugly...but then again I never found LH attractive and as far as I'm concerned its kinda accurate that way :monkey3 For me the figure is an absolute MUST. I really hope I'm able to get it.

Only problem is it would ideally come with 2 hair-down heads - one to use with the basic MMS figure and one to keep with this T-1000 disguise body because thats a pretty cool scene that this figure is representing in itself. I mean the only other solution would be to buy 2 and that may well not be possible.

I'm just plain greedy, I want friggin everything.

Same here.

I just popped in the BR and paused that exact scene to the picture. The ear, jawline, shirt collar, detail on the hole and hairline is way too spot on to be a figure.

Its a still. Just my opinion of course.

As someone who's photoshopped numerous figures into film stills, IF the sculpt is good enough and you're able to replicate the light sources properly, you really can blur whether it's a figure or the real deal. Given the quality of HT's portraits and the lack of lighting in that shot, I think with a well made HT figure, you would have a hard time telling what you're looking at.

The only thing that really makes me think its the figure is the lack of this little piece

But I tried lining the mag pic up with the stills and it is VERY darn close. So they even got the angle exactly right if its the figure.

The part you highlight I think is there, just being folded over, you can see the shot of the "figure" isn't complete at that edge and seems like there's more to it that's just not showing in the scan.

Yeah I'd believe that. The thing is, HT doesn't usually do that. Tommy Richardson often gets the lighting and composition of his photos to match a film still, but I don't think he's ever done a 100% match.

I agree that the above T1000 photo is just a film still.

Well, being magazine shots, i have a feeling those are Tommy Richardson photos, just like the early leaked shot of the T-800 was.

Ah. I just assumed it was from a Hot Toys Tokyo International Toyfair 2010 catalogue or something. But what you said makes more sense.

Well I'm just taking a guess, but it seems like publications that aren't HT official stuff often are TR shots and not their stock images. You never know. The Sarah shots could be HT photos, but if that T-1000 shot is a figure, that's definitely not a normal photo from HT. While they're good at mixing shadow and light in their shots, they never do anything artsy, just a nice, favorable shot of the figure. TR's the go to for the artsy stuff.

Is it too late to persuade HT to include this hairdown HS with their T2: SC figure, much like they did with King Leo? I know, I know... Then the T-1000 SC exclusive won't be an exclusive anymore...

What are you talking about :D
The exclusive would be a T-1000 and this would still be a Sarah Connor ;) But yeah well not likely this is going to happen :(

Ahm broke anyways... Dunno why I even viewed this thread--After paying off my card from just this year's 1/6 purchases :thud:, guess it's just better for my wallet if I stop lookin' at all the HT threads in here! :rotfl

Looks to be a film still with warping due to the magazine curve, BUT notice the absence of the blue/white light segment in the hole and the pipes, etc. above. (May have been shopped out of the magazine pic, but why would they do that?)

The collar also appears different on the right side.

We could have a figure here people! :panic:

Uh yeah! Definitely! Absolutely great! :D

That is likely just hidden in the curve of the magazine running into the seam.

Still 99% sure it is the still. but would love to be wrong. :panic:

Yes, she'll very likely be out in a few weeks. All we can really do now is hope maybe they put in a long haired head with it, I'd even take the ponytail head with just the different hair, doesn't have to be the fake Sarah portrait, but my gut says this was planned that the hair down head to spice up the MMS119 figure be packed in with a variant figure, so one head per and you need both figures to have a steel mill look.

It's too bad this new Sarah will probably be very limited, I'd like to get a spare head to try making the hair have that sweaty look from the mill, but if I can only get one, I'm not going to risk it.
