I think it's the figure!

As for the sarah, it's kind of annoying what HT have done. I don't like their thinking. People should have got the rooted hair on the MMS figure, pony tail or not.

Looks to be a film still with warping due to the magazine curve, BUT notice the absence of the blue/white light segment in the hole and the pipes, etc. above. (May have been shopped out of the magazine pic, but why would they do that?)

The collar also appears different on the right side.

We could have a figure here people! :panic:

For those that may miss the comparison. Tough one to call really.

I just popped in the BR and paused that exact scene to the picture. The ear, jawline, shirt collar, detail on the hole and hairline is way too spot on to be a figure.

Its a still. Just my opinion of course.

The pics I compared it with are two stills from the BR also. :)

I just don't see why they would go to the trouble of shopping out the background?

mh, maybe it's just the page which deforms some lines of his head, but to judge only through what i can see, i would say it's the figure. the hair looks a bit different, the forehead, the eyes are in a higher position, the jaw looks rounder and like snake said, the whole background is different.

So the left shot is the magazine, and the right 2 are the film, correct?

If so, I'd say its a figure then. The donut hole just isn't the same in the mag shot as the film stills. But if it means anything, the sculpt should be a homerun if we are having a hard time telling if it is the figure or the actual film! Even if it ends up the film, its a testament to how good Hot Toy's figures have gotten. When we aren't sure if its a figure or a still (or that on of their figure's can be put on the Blu Ray cover :wink1:), you know they are doing great! :clap

if you guys look at the layout they did for the predator gort figure page, the upper left hand corner also show a pic and that predator is a photo of a hot toys predator, so that T1000 pic could be real prototype

Correct. Left is magazine pic, middle BR still and right BR still a second or so later.

Donut hole looks pretty exact in my eyes, considering the page warping the pic.

Agreed that if it is the figure HT have nailed it by the looks of things.

I know T2 backwards. That image is a still from the film. Hands down.

Care to explain the background disappearing, different collar and slight differences in the face and hole then?

May just be shopped and page warping as I said, but I fail to see how anyone can outright say they know one way or the other.

I'm gonna stick with also thinking its a still. I sure hope we're wrong though ............ believe me. Its near impossible to see all the small details from those BR photos. They're not really that good Timster. You guys need to pop in T2 and pause that scene and you'll see. Every curve and shape is spot on to the still. Keep in mind that the magazine is bent too.

Here's a still ...........

We're all going to die alone, aren't we? :monkey2

Whether that shot is a toy or a still, it clearly means the T-1000 comes with it which is extremely awesome even though I probably will never display him with it.

The only thing that really makes me think its the figure is the lack of this little piece

But I tried lining the mag pic up with the stills and it is VERY darn close. So they even got the angle exactly right if its the figure.
