That head may indicate they are indeed working on a T-1000, but then again it may also indicate they are not and they are just throwing us a bone and thinking we could use that head on our Sideshow version.

Eh, I actually think the sideshow version holds up pretty good. Maybe not the body, but the uniform and head sculpt was excellent (except for the white turtle neck, dunno what was up with that) So, I mean that T-1000 head is very tempting for me, but not enough to spring for the whole figure. Of course if the exclusive sells out I may have end my little protest because what would be the point.

i agree completely.
i dont have the ss figure, but i've always thought it looked great. it actually is a great sculpt, but most likely, it's not going to be half as good as what ht will give us. (or the head we've gotten already)

Yeah i've always liked the SS sculpt but BAAAAAAAD paint.
I've always felt the worst thing on Sideshow's T-1000, like their T-800, was the costume. The sculpts in the Sideshow T2 line were pretty good, but on both Terminators, the costumes were pretty weak, and the paint could have been a bit nicer. Sarah's sculpt and costume were great, the paint wasn't very good and the body sucks.
I'm most anticipating the HT T-1000 for overall proportions, the uniform should fit much nicer and really capture the look from the film, and having put the Sideshow one with the HT T-800, the head will be in better scale with HT's figures.

Yeah the T-1000's outfit was very bad too .......... it seems SS always makes their clothing two sizes too big.
One thing I don't like either is because of how it's made, you can't get the belt to sit on him right, you either have it too high up or too far below the waistline of the pants. I just prefer figures where uniforms should be really pristine and all to look it. HT's Cop Joker looks like he stepped out of an honor guard, very sharp looking unifrom and fitting to represent a police officer, that's what I'm hoping for with HT's figure.

Yeah you definitely get the best of both worlds with HT's. Excellent likenesses and fantastic tailoring. Vito Corleone was one of their best overall pieces.
Yup, while HT's always been pretty good with tailoring, I can't think of a figure from them since the start of 2009 that hasn't been really sharp in the tailoring department, all the T:S guys, DX Joker, Wolverine, now T-800, just really impressive 1/6 costuming, best I've ever seen.

The only one (in recent time) I can think of that wasn't good was be the V1 Joker jacket.
Well, even the v1 jacket was well made, not accurrate, but well made. The stuff since last year has just been like a whole new level, tailoring and weathering. I'm still in awe of Wolverine's shirt, it just wrinkles and fits so realistically, it's crazy.

I think the tailoring has always been best but damn their weathering as of late has been legendary. Wolverine (from head to toe) is a work of art. Its little details are crazy good.
Wait'll you see how worn the T-800 leather looks, crazy weathering.
