There's really no comparison with any of the Sideshow figures, they were great in their time, especially since there really wasn't much for figures at the time besides McFarlane and the old Kenner, but even when they came out, they didn't seem as good as some of the other figures Sideshow was making at the time and even today Sideshow making T2 figures would probably put them to shame, so HT doing it just really dates them. If we never got the HT line though, I'd still be happy, I love T2 and it's nice to have cool stuff from it, prior to 2009-2010, there wasn't a whole lot of T2 stuff outside of the Endoskeleton.

So will I, I'm turing my Sideshow Sarah into Pescadero Sarah, I bought her, she's not even worth trying to sell, might as well get some use out the figure. The Sideshow T-1000's really the only figure I've yet to come up with some way to still put to use.

That may be because you are buying more then 1 of the Hot Toys version..otherwise the Sideshow T-1000 is invaluable in providing accessories the new Hot Toys version is missing to complete the second figure...

T2 was never about the endoskeleton for me. I have a soft spot for old Sideshow figures. I think they serve their purpose well...for the $20 bucks I payed for her, I will fully enjoy the sideshow figure.

I don't know, I guess in a pinch, the white t-shir is terrible, big collar, thick material, I pretty much got rid of it as soon as I got the figure, it's accurrate to have the undershirt but it was too thick under the uniform and I didn't like how the outter shirt lay with it on. I'm probably more critical than some of the Sideshow T2 figures, but outside of Sarah I find the costumes in the line a bit underwhelming, though T-800's coat is the worst piece of all. Bottom line though, do what makes you happy with your collection.

Yes the t-800 jacket was quite the terrible sight.

I really just wanted ANY blue collar shirt and extra police belt.
I was also watching this auction,

but the belt looked real cheap and I had no clue if the scale would match up properly. I figured better to stay safe and use the Sideshow version, since I knew it was "good enough" for my purposes.

Not really, I live in the middle of nowhere :lol

Sand dunes. \o/ Perfect for Terminator even if it's small areas of sand it'll look big for photography shoots, sunrise and sunsets beautiful blue light when it's a full moon. You then don't even need to add blue tints in photoshop. Nothing beats natural lighting.

I wish I had a DSLR to make things simple yet effective to pop like that.

That Hasbro stuff and a right hand holster. The one you won is 100% better.

That was my favorite thing about getting the camera I have now, the depth of field effects were just vastly better than my P&S, even though that was Canon's best non-DSLR model, but depth of field can make even a bland subject be an interesting photograph.

I keep meaning to buy a macro lens but my only use for it would be collectibles so I've backburnered that, the lens I have does the job for the most part and it's useful for the other subjects I photograph.

What ISO setting does your camera start to kick in noise? how high can you go before it starts to become grainy...

I try not to go higher than 400, even 800's probably not too bad, but I'm not a fan of noise, I know some photographers and filmmakers like it, not mean, the cleaner and purer looking the better. I try to just always stay at 100, I've got a tripod and a 2 foot wired shutter cable so for the most part I don't need to crank up the ISO to do natural light work indoors, only if I really want to do some bizarre angle that's really tricky to set the tripod to get.

I think it depends on the picture but some with a bit of grain works well, yet some that are too clear it makes me think of a computer render dependent on the lighting. Yet clear with the the light warm lighting it's beautiful.

Soon as I hit 400 I have lots of grain. I don't seem to have much to play with like with DSLR's. I can only play with 64, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600.

I like grain only when I want the shot to have a bit of a horror, worn type feel to it, it's good for moody black and white work. As far as full color, tradtional stuff, I just prefer clean, but the nice thing is, it's easy to change a setting and get whichever you like.

I'm looking at upgrading my camera again this year, Canon's got a Rebel T2i now that's 18 MP for a price about the same as I paid for my Rebel Xti which is only 10 MP. The nice thing with higher MP is you can take further away shots and crop them down and still have them be sharp to save spending huge money on super zoom lenses, the picture's not as nice of course, but those lenses can run thousands for just one and unless you're going to get heavy use out of it, that's a lot of cash for the occassional use.
