I preordered it because I love Terminator... but damn this was a painful one. Like DOFP Wolverine its a pricey one with no accessories to justify.

And they will continue to raise the prices if they feel they can get away with that price in a barebones figure.

The bd sculpt has something off about it. I think between both sculpts, nose might have been over done. Those dead on shots of the clean head sculpt are undeniably Arnold though.

Not really understanding the NECA comparison. Are you guys saying it looks like the actual NECA Pops figure as far as the likeness or are you saying that the quality looks NECAish?

I love the sculpts. Looks like old Arnie to me and HT nailed it. Quality looks just fine on these things too. This figure is a must own for me even though the movie might not be any good. Only complaint is the high price, but that is true for all HT figures right now.

NECA has some pretty damn good sculpts in their catalog so that wouldn't exactly be an insult.

The new film is getting pretty good reviews going by the audience score on Rotten Tomatoes (72% fresh). The critics are a bit more harsh on it (26% rotten), but that's really no surprise.

There's no texture to his skin at all, it looks completely flat... and his hair isn't even remotely close to his hair in the film.

The hair is always an issue with a HT Arnie though. Just look at the other ones and that round mini afro.

I know, they all have a fro and I can almost live with that... but the paint on this looks embarrassing by Hot Toys standards... not to mention how jumbo the head is compared to the body.

Yea A-dev can tell you all about how wrong his hair is on all their figures.

I can and do at every opportunity :lol ....but I'm not ready to say it's wrong in this one. Hairline maybe should be more receded for old Arnie but apparently he is shown at various different ages in this movie. So his wigs and hair colour will differ. As for the sculpting of the style and overall shape, I don't see a problem yet. :dunno they don't give you all the angles in the prototype shots.

I noticed you do! And you are right. I think his jawline or mouth area is whats throwing the sculpt off. The eyes are just classic arnie to me.
