1/6 Hot Toys -Terminator Genisys: T-800 Guardian

Well chronicle would be making statues but they'd be the best shot at getting us an actual T1 Endoskeleton with the specific things that mark that one out from the endoskeletons that followed. Ideally such a statue would at least be in the scale of Hot Toys figures though.....

The Endo has become synonymous with fire, so climbing out of the truck wreckage would be my choice.

Y'know, I was really curious how well this would sell. A handful of Terminator fans I know aren't getting it, and he doesn't come with any other characters from the movie to compliment him. I believe HT is looking for an excuse to abandon the license.

You're probably right. I think if they were going to do a Kyle, it would of been teased some time after the 238 came out... unless they come out of no where like when they showed Ripley... but then never release it.

I'd be happy if hot toys just released a movie accurate 1/6th scale endo from the terminator to be honest. That would be the business and i think the number one figure everyone else would want. It would make great sales for hot toys.

They would. I actually have no confidence that I would like a new Hot Toys endoskeleton better than their previous MMS033.

At least it's a sign that the figure is still coming I guess. It's not looking good for an endo or the 1000 though, and tbh with the mediocre film reviews and no news on them, I'd be thinking why bother now?

i'm watching TG right now again and so visited this thread to recheck photos and see if i need this figure.
and i say again that HT oldminator looks nothing like movie version, it's Men in Black face like somebody said, nothing from Arnold.

I'd almost think the age made it hard to sculpt, but their Barney Ross captures older Sly even better than Rambo or Rocky ever did.

first of all his mouth is waaaaay too low on the face. why the long face.
then he's too old even for an older version (though wearing clothes & hair from younger version).
if these two were fixed, he'd be definitely better than MMS238 clean sculpt (which is so awful that anything can be better).
anyway the head shape is wrong, too.

p.s. head shape and mouth position look like they've been taken from 1984 terminator double

Hardly a surprise. However, since this figure may be the only "mature" Hot Toys Arnie will people be more likely to buy for the novelty? There's also the potential attraction that this will likely have a low production run... always bait for some collectors.
