EDIT: Nevermind, just googled and saw that the entire film will be converted 2D. No thanks.

wow! a new marketing ploy for a mark suit! why am i not surprised? give it 2 months before the light up base focuses on pink panties again.

I hope the light and tiny amount of heat coming from the light up base dramatically accelerates the pink panties process

I'm willing to bet at least half of those people are in line just so they can flip it on ebay/elsewhere.

Last year when HT released the Demon Bat/Scarecrow set (and the predator and something else i don't recall) one dude had actually hired 200+ people to buy a set each for him, so he could sell them on the secondary market for a profit. EDIT: That's him there ^

He ended up losing money because the set dropped in value



So moral of the story - those long lines don't mean squat

Actually the demon bats/scarecrow was an online exclusives that were PO online for HT VIPs, and later released for the general public for HK residents only.

That dude scalp the 2011 exclusives, which were the Iron man mark IV secret project, batman begins Bruce Wayne and shadow predator. I'm sure he made profit from selling just the batman and ironman alone.

So i think HT is doing something about those scalpers.. That's why they re-release their figures to teach them a lesson about hoarding stuff and make money out of it..

Actually the demon bats/scarecrow was an online exclusives that were PO online for HT VIPs, and later released for the general public for HK residents only.

That dude scalp the 2011 exclusives, which were the Iron man mark IV secret project, batman begins Bruce Wayne and shadow predator. I'm sure he made profit from selling just the batman and ironman alone.

Sideshow also had the demon batman / scarecrow two pack available for a short time. I think they only had 300 sets if I remember the email correctly.

Not only that but the Scarecrow/Batman was found at an extreme sale after that on a site, I have no doubts that some of these will end up easily obtainable.

There are a few on eBay at the mo, however, they're going for pretty much the same price as the Irin Man 2 Mark VI

Despite having less accessories. I'm guessing people know that if someone wants a Mark VI, they can still charge them high prices despite it being a new release, i also think the limited run has a part to play, if this were a mass run available on Sideshow, then the eBay folk couldnt charge what they wanted

All of the ebay auctions for this say it will be released in June. I would think it will be up for PO very soon.

That sounds more in line with it ending up as a con exclusive then for Sideshow. I think HT usually has a con in June and then Sideshow at SDCC in July. So I'm betting thats the case instead of another silly thing from HT this year.

It's disturbing how hot toys is already making a big dead about an edition size of 3000

Hot Toys is now actually admitting their other figures are not so limited

That happened with the 10th Anniversary figures, as well. 4,000 and listed as limited exclusives.

One thing that kind of bothers me about this is re-releasing that Mark IV Tony head again. This will be the 3rd figure to have it, as if HT think it's so great that every other Iron Man deserves it. Yet, it's not very good IMO. Mech Test sculpt is better, but not by too much. I guess folks still want to buy it, and that's what really matters. But without the glasses he's just señior Tony.

I think Sideshow will have this. Why wouldn't Hot Toys attempt to sell the figure here? North America is where the Avengers stories were originally created, where the comics were produced, where the series take place. It's also where the new movie was produced, where the movie takes place. We grew up with that stuff! We ARE the biggest market for these toys, don't let anybody tell you otherwise. North America should be getting at least 1500 of these figures.

What's a worse name: figurine OR doll? As in, I collect figurines. OR I collect dolls.
