I'd suggest you buying this, and you can just sell it and buy the original mark VI and still have some change left in your pocket. As this one is more expensive than the original mark VI on ebay at the moment.

That 3000 ES, whether true or not, just means scalpers are gonna charge absurd prices for the ones they get their slimy little fingers on. But $189 for an IM figure nowadays, I couldn't pass this bad boy up!

I got on the computer late today, but thankfully right when SS sent this email out. I got on and grabbed my Mark VI, I'm as happy as can be. 
Tempted. But I think the crazy ebay prices are likely to drop and not remain where they are now. When you introduce 3,000 figures at $189 into a pool that's been over $400, certainly the value declines as everyone thinks they can get one at the new price and they tend to hold out until they can. Probably settle around $230-$250 over the next year. But the original Mark VI shouldn't take too bad a hit because of the BD. I'm just hoping the original drops a bit over the next 3 months so I have a chance at getting one for $250-300 if I get lucky. 'Course I might be wrong. Avengers made this all go crazy.

Woohoo! This is perfect because I was just about to order one off eBay. Now I don't have to pay over 400 for it. I am actually amazed by the 189 price being only 3000 made. I figure he would at least be 250 but this price is a steal. Anybody know how you can get the 10 dollars off on your first order by subscribing to the newsletter? I never got the email for it. Oh well I guess I can use it next time. I'm just happy I got him now.

Yep, I think Sideshow probably has about 1000 or so of this and it will sell out pretty briskly in the next few days.
It's not officially on the page because only people who subscribed to their Avengers promo newsletter got the email . . .
I think initially prices will drop but as time passes it will go up again.
Earlier Iron Mans are hitting high 300s, low 400s and they aren't even limited.
A 3000 limitation for an action figure is actually pretty darn low and Iron Man is a character that's still going strong with Iron Man 3 and Avengers 2 in the future and current Avengers hype and popularity at an all time high.
In other words, I would get this NOW.

I'm selling a complete Iron Man collection on Ebay for 8000 dollars or best offer so . . . I kinda need this one to continue to make it "complete."
And for those asking NO, I don't have Whiplash, Iron Monger, Black Widow or any of those.
It's just Iron Man, Iron Man, Iron Man.
I'll consider adding the Gantry with Mark IV when it finally comes out but since that's not limited I don't think it'll have any impact on my auction.
And YES I'm aware of that ridiculously limited run of 16 Joint Promotion Iron Man Mark VI, not going to spend 4 digits on that either.
But aside from that, it's a pretty complete and thorough collection.
