That picture makes no sense, unless Tony Stark is as much of a collector as we are... actually, that makes plenty of sense. :)

The Mk.II was stolen by Rhodey to make War Machine, so that one shouldn't be there unless Stark made another one for nostalgic purposes.

The Mk.V would be better off in suitcase-form, not deployed out like that. Unless, of course, he keeps duplicates of all his suits.

Aw, who am I kidding? It's great eye-candy. :D

if i have two mark 2s and two mark 3s and two war machines, i'm pretty sure tony stark can manage also.

i wish i have a bigger shelf that can occupy more than 5 marks.

Looking at the full size version it looks like the mkII isn't there.

Edit: looking again it may well be there, but behind glass or something. I agree, this would make no sense, but then why would he repair the helmet of the mkIII and to fix the bullethole-ridden chest? And how does any of this jibe with Stark's comment that he's been called many things but not sentimental?
Nah, the Mk.II is definitely there. You can see a shoulder and an arm to the right of RDJ's right arm.

Maybe it's less of being "sentimental", but more of just having a badass display cabinet. :D

Well the Mark I was destroyed in the Arc Reactor explosion in IM, so he built a replica, who says he can't just build another.
Also makes me really want the Mark V now just because it stands out.

That image was taken before the Mk II was stolen, so that's fine. The Mark I was recovered by the ten rings and reversed engineered by Stane. Odds are then that the recovered Mark I was housed somewhere in a Stark Industries complex.

EDIT:

Actually if you read the text overlayed each it says the following:

Mark I: Reconstruction
Mark II: Prototype
Mark III: Battle Damaged
Mark IV: Awaiting Upgrade (to Mk VI?)

Personally, I DON'T CARE HOW THE ARMORS ARE ALL THERE. These movies are based on comic books and comic book characters. If we can believe a man can turn green and triple in size, or a person can stretch his body like rubber and have it snap right back without damaging any organs, it shouldn't be a big deal that armor that we saw get destroyed suddenly appear again. Of course thats just my opinion.

What excites me is the he appears to be standing on a "new" Suit up Gantry. So will we get either an Avengers Walking Gantry or an IM3 Standing Gantry?
I think I need a bigger room.

The one that was taken was made for Rhodey. ironman suits are power by Tony. You see in the comics as in im2. WM center is red.

Yeah, I disagree entirely with that. It's like saying nothing has to make sense, it's just a movie, or check your brain in at the door. Don't buy it. A movie has to respect it's own logic, even if it doesn't strictly obey 'real life' logic, and has to respect it's own history. See Highlander 2 for what happens if you don't.

I agree with you. My comment wasn't intented as a check your brain at the door situation. But its a matter of WHERE IS THAT LINE OF BELIEF? And for me, it's way more logical for Stark to have more than one version of each mark, or for him to reproduce older versions. So in actuality, I think my point of is way more "real life" than not. And its even supported in the pic 4 the first 4 marks and the captions about them.

all of the armors are rebuilt execpt MK II, which has been replaced. Since movie Tony is fully invested in Iron Man, I'm sure he is sentimental for all the armors he wears.

Just got my Avengers Mark VI today and it's brilliant. It's my first Iron Man and I'm still getting used to the articulation. I love the detail, especially the added wear which I understand is distinct from the previous release.

Now, a question for those who have Mark IV/VI: The back flaps don't sit perfectly against his back when they're flat. Is this a normal issue? I suspect if I just bend the metal interiors a bit then I can make it work.

Thanks :lol I'm glad to have that confirmed. He's a bit stiff right now, but I'm very impressed. Now I have to stop myself from getting the Mark II that's still available at Sideshow and paying the outrageous prices on ebay for the Mark IV :lol

I just added them up maybe 3,000 for all if bought all seperately.......brand spanking new......
