True. At either double or triple the original price by then.

I was actually offered the gantry for this (just the gantry) but that would mean I have no actual Iron Man for it...so I passed :X

AAAHHHH....hot toys will re release like they have always done with there iron man figures and you will be reunited with your baby.....:clap. Remember this is a "PROMO" promotional edition for the avengers edition, NOT A FULL RELEASE.

Is the repaint better than the original? Less fading issues? I am trying to decide if I want to trade my Mark VI avengers version for the Iron Man 2 version. I do like the BD parts.

And yes maybe HT will make a 2.0, but have to say the Mark VI is pretty solid, and we have yet to see a version 2.0 of the Mark 3.

HT will continue to make ironmans, but the new ones will be from the new Ironman 3 movies, Mark VII, and Mark VIII plus probably another war machine from Ironman 3.

the paint is the same, the only difference is the worn deco over it. as far as fading...its too early to know but it looks and feel the exact same as the BD version so i wouldn't bet on it being fixed for this release at all.

personally if i would grab the BD version if you dont mind losing the unmasked tiny head and limited run value. it has more display options.

Lol, limited run value..of what is suppose to be a limited figure to begin with. HT is such a scammer.

Yeah I'll be look for the original, and sell the current avengers on ebay or something.

The head is one of the main reasons I wanted it to begin with! I love the RDJ likeness! :clap

Seriously.
They've already shown us that they have no problems revisiting and rereleasing figures they've released before, albeit, with a few minor changes.

But I don't have problems with that. It keeps prices at fair levels and anyone who missed it the first time around can get the newer one.

Hm. I actually prefer the Mech Test head, but that one's really hard to get nowadays. If I decided to display any Iron Man suit with a full Tony Stark head instead of the helmeted one, I'd go for the Mech Test version.

Mech Test is indeed a good sculpt too! :clap

Got mine. It's my first Iron man (Mark 1.2 coming next month-ish too.)

Wow! What a fantastic figure! I love it!
