thanks...I got a blue cloth just for the Hulk though...not sure which colour should I use for the entire Avengers shot (Cap is blue and Hulk is green)

also tried adding some lights with photoshop...needless to say it didn't go all that well

Use a grey backdrop cloth. Cameras love grey - its somehow easier for them to process - its a nice neutral color and goes with everything. When I used to do a lot of doll and model photography, I used the reverse side of a big piece of grey satin.

Received this today, awesome figure. I also notice the HS is slightly different from the Mark IV. The paint app on this seems to be more tanned, and has slightly more detail.

Thinking about what people in the forum said earlier on the debate of which of the 2 main HT Marks(IV & VI) in the Iron Man 2 movie to get.

Many who chose IV said that that was probably their last chance to own an Iron Man figure with a circular chest piece; 2 years on, it seems that the reverse happened: the VI seemed like the last chance for anyone who wished to own an Iron Man fig with a triangular chest piece lol.

Well it definitely feels like the IM armors are turning out to be like Star Wars Clone Troopers, in that in the end, there'll be dozens of them. I'm betting IM3 will have at least two armor designs, since he'll start with the VII and then move onto the Extremis style. We might even see an Extremis II in IM3.

So, I would say the point to remember is that if you like a particular version, get it soon, because there's no guarantee it's coming back. Sure, HT is churning out alot of 2.0s, but I can't see them going back to every design for the 2.0 treatment.

Agreed. All the jokes about everything getting a 2.0 is stupid. They're only doing 2.0 figures of their early work that can be vastly improved. Most of the later Iron Man armors (post-Mark III) don't warrant 2.0 versions.

Oh, don't forget the ugly grey colour on the Mark V. They need to re-release that with proper silver paint like the Mark II AU. Then i'll buy that.

A quick update, managed to get some cheap parts from eBay for the original Mark VI. Soon i'll have a normal Mark VI and the Avenger version (which i have a love/hate relationship with). Can't wait. I'll use the RDJ head for the Avenger version and pose the original as clean version (sorta clean...)

OT: Does anyone know (if they are from HK) how much are toy stores selling the Mark IV (4) in HK? The eBay atm is going for around 370+ USD. My fiancee is going to HK around September for 2 weeks, hopefully she'll manage to find a cheap Mark IV for me over there.

so glad Sideshow sent me that email when the Mark VI went up for sale, I don't think it even lasted 12 hours on the site and I get offers for him all the time but he's my first Ironman and i love the Mark VI so I'll def be keeping him

Finally paid mine off and got it yesterday, he looks awesome. I switched out the chest plate for the clean one on the old Mark VI to give him a slightly cleaner look.

Awesome, so glad you can do this. My final Flex goes through tomorrow and I should have him next week. Was thinking of doing exactly the same thing, using the 'clean' chest plate from the IM2 version as I have that one displayed in the 'battle-damaged' look. :rock
