If you really want the gun and are considering buying it separately at an extortionate price, you should just go deluxe and then sell off the diorama base. Bases always sell and this is an especially versatile one.

Yeah this is definitely the best option cost-wise. You're going to have to hunt that gun and overpay for it. Resellers know it's an exclusive part so they'll obviously charge more for it. I bet it'll be at least $40, so might as well just grab the deluxe. The base will probably sell for $60.

Yeah I called SS and they will send me a refund again this time I'll just keep my order for the Deluxe. Lol that's it though I'll just keep the wingsuit in the box if I don't use it for photos.

I think so, yes 😅

I should be more specific. I think it suited the movie just fine, and the idea of the cape being wrapped into a wingsuit is pretty neat. Within context I like it just fine.
I just don't think it makes for a very appealing looking figure, and I have zero desire to display it that way.
It's functional, not pretty.
Agree. Perfect in the movie. Unexpected, exciting and quite original. Great scene.

Putting it over the (very cool) suit just to stand there on the shelf… not so appealing. Even a dynamic pose… meh… I‘d rather see the suit.

I think the wing suit is great for anyone who may be into making dioramas, even if temporary ones.

I can’t see me using it myself as cool as it may be in the film to see a more practical “wing glide” used for Batman.

Yeah I'm honestly not sure why HT even bothered with that. Unless they were just desperate to find another item for the deluxe version. And even then they only devoted two pics to showing it off.

To me, them going all out on Batman means HT only plans on making him and him alone. I don't think they'll announce Catwoman and definitely not Riddler (who was only Riddler in name only).

It would be nice to see catwoman and riddler from hot toys, but if it's just batman I'm totally cool with that. I just want to say I love the design of the suit in this one,it's just so awesome with the details such as the scuffs and scratches from previous fights and the armor pads/pieces (hopefully doesn't hinder articulation for certain poses that I have in mind). I'm super excited for this piece and will most definitely be the biggest highlight of my collection yet

Riddler in name only? He made riddles and did puzzles and was a villain. How is that in name only?
Haven’t seen it yet - and it could very off-base - but I know that a name and theme don’t always translate to accurate characters. Jigsaw made riddles, puzzles, and was a villain, but his motivations are far removed from the normal Riddler. Screwball in Spider-man does riddles and puzzle traps and is a villain.

For Star Wars fans, Luke was more than a guy with a lightsaber with family issues. Boba Fett was more than just a dude in armor with a jetpack.

But I digress. The Riddler of this may fit this new Batman universe like a glove. Ultimately, there are so many wildly different versions of him throughout history to draw from.

If the movie hadn't been a huge hit and performed more like Suicide Squad, I think they definitely would have stopped with just Batman. But now with it doing well I'm pretty confident we'll at least get a Catwoman out of it.

For Riddler and Penguin though I think we'll have to be content with third party versions.

With how well the movie and the figure is doing, I'm sure we'll get at least 1 of Selina or Riddler, think we'll have to wait until the sequel or HBO Max series for Penguin

Zoe talked about how this movie just lays the foundation of Catwoman and her suit, as she isn't really Catwoman just yet, so I can also see them waiting for sequel(s) to do that.

I'm sure they're happy with these Batman numbers though.

Oh what... have they even started their prototypes for the batman and mobile then? Seems like it'll be a LONG while until we see anything in that case.

Finally seen the film and I think I'm gonna need everything from this, even it means selling a bunch of other stuff.

I won't say it's better than Nolan's Batman, since that's entirely a matter of opinion, but it's definitely my favourite. It's the version of the character I've always wanted to see in live action.

What I love most is Batman being present for almost the entire movie. No longer a side character in his own movie as with TDK and TDKR. I hope that continues in the sequels.

His chemistry with both Gordon and Selena were highlights and every scene with Penguin. I just walked out wanting more.

Is t thst his whole thing? To make puzzles and riddles? That’s basically it. He’s a villain who uses riddles as his theme. That’s not in name only. In name only would be if he didn’t use riddles at all and was like a guy who shot question marks out his hand. So no the riddler is exactly how he should be.

Getting a bit off-track, but I always viewed the core of the character as greater than the theme or gimmick. Batman also has encountered similar villains such as Cluemaster, Enigma, and The Puzzler.

It’s why you can have a character that flies around with super powers in a cape and that doesn’t make them Superman. Without his core or morals or motivations, Superman is just another powered hero like Supreme, Prime, Apollo, Sentry, and other Superman-derivatives.

My understanding is the Riddler in this is different than before, but I saw enough commonality with prior incarnations to tether him to the original character, beyond just the riddles gimmick. Particularly the classic TAS incarnation that lashed out at business and political corruption.

Nah it’s not off track. But that’s fine. It’s still not in name only. Heaths joker could be in name only cause he’s not exactly like the comic either. But there are things that still are joker like where he’s not a different character. Same with riddler. He’s the same just a bit tweaked .
